Honestly I've played through both and gameplay wise there isn't a huge difference. Source has improved graphics though and a few re-skinned weapons (the submachine gun becomes an M4). I'm a purist and I liked the original one but they're both good. ...actually I think they're bundled together usually...

Hey do recomend getting half life or half life source?
