Helldivers 2 is everything modern games should be. I hope other publishers are looking at the success of this game and taking notes

Seriously impressive mod, this could absolutely be an official Valve game. Highly recommend.

I rarely review games but this free(!!) mod is incredible, genuinely feels like it could be an official Half-Life spinoff like Blue Shift. Helps bridge the gap after the end of Episode 2 from a whole new perspective and likely the closest we'll ever get to Half-Life 3

I thought this might be a bit of fun but this is actually a really fun game. I would say it's my favourite multiplayer game for VR. Everyone is very friendly and it doesn't get boring quickly like most other VR games.

Game itself is not too bad but whoever runs the business decisions should be fired out of a cannon.

i'm sorry but it's pretty terrible, the voice acting, paint mechanic all felt very lazy and bad. i wouldn't normally complain but this is a paid mod, so no, don't get this.

Absolutely fantastic. I loved Nitronic Rush and Team Nitronic (now Refract Studios) have definitely lived up to, and gone way past the fun and excitement of it with Distance. I've been in since the beta, and so far I've loved every bit of it.

While this game is in early access, I highly recommend it even if the game never updates again (which it will by the way, Refract are cool guys)

First, the level editor: Steam Workshop support and a built in level editor is a game changer for any game, and this one especially. The editors advanced features reminds me of such things as Autodesk Maya, but can be simplified down to the Portal 2 in-game map creator. Tracks in the editor snap together and can be automatically resized. They act like splines and the track automatically is generated along them, so you do not have to worry about that at all. Everything is very easy yet advanced at the same time which will make some really brilliant levels (and has already infact).

Multiplayer: This was the most requested feature from Nitronic Rush, and they've implemented it right down to the core of the game. It is done extremely well and I couldn't ask for anything more (well, maybe auto downloading of workshop levels to clients who dont have). It's really fun with mates or strangers on any of the modes: sprint, speed and style, challenge and reverse tag (shame they removed the football gamemode though).

Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the game is clear from the start and I think it works really well. There's less of the really bright colours from Nitronic and the announcer is gone (for now at least). The world is dark and gloomy but mixed with flashing lights and exciting music makes for an interesting yet enjoyable experience. The soundtrack itself is incredible, Torcht and the team really have outdone themselves this time, it's much better than Nitronic Rush's music (and for the record, I loved Nitronic Rush's music).

There are only a few things that I think should be worked. The first is optional realtime portals, since right now they work like a static 360* image wrapped around it - but don't get me wrong they look great and aren't noticeable at high speeds, of course this should be off by default and as an advanced graphics option like realtime reflections since they would require a beefy GPU. Another thing would be mod support for custom gamemode types. My biggest issue currently is no mouse support at all, not even for menus - but I'm sure it's planned (we are in Early Access right now, after all), but these are more like feature requests than actual issues - and I'm certain Refract has more up their sleeve for us, so we'll see.

Conclusion: Get this game if you love any of these:
A. Arcade racers
B. Splitscreen games
C. Sci-Fi games
D. Racers
E. Playing tag with your friends
F. Games with an amazing soundtrack
G. Calm driving
H. Exciting driving
I. Polished games
J. Multiplayer racing with friends
K. Multiplayer racing with not friends
L. Nitronic Rush
M. Ex-DigiPen students
N. Refract Studios

Okay I'll stop now, but seriously, get this game - you will not regret it.

It's Garry's Mod mixed with Minecraft in space, what's not to love?
