I will write this review now as my playtime as at a funny number (nice...) and I will carry on with this review with the current state of the which truth be told isn’t the best but it’s not battlefield 2042. Infinity Ward has yet to disappoint me when comes to releases of their games as even though the game can be the buggiest thing to cross the face of the earth, yet I will still have a huge smile on my face when I play it. This game is no exception to that prejudice. When the beta came in September, I was having a blast. The game at the time was a little buggy but nothing that would even make me consider refunding the 100€ that I spent on the vault edition since it wasn’t in the state that Cyberpunk was in on release so that made me happy. Playing the game in beta was a really good experience for me since I saw that IW wants to continue in the direction, they were already headed with MW2019 but the changes they’ve made were only the things people wanted. The maps felt fairly fast paced, simplified, the gunplay was quick, smooth, and very precise with a ton of attention to detail as is a common thing with IW games. Then the campaign early access came in October, and I had a blast jumping in on veteran on my first playthrough and realism right after. It honestly felt like one of the best COD campaigns I have ever witnessed in a while. Yes, the campaign isn’t long, but it does have a lot of replay ability with the way things work. See you have a ton of choices when it comes to how you want to pursue the ending. In one mission that was sort of created with 'ghillied up' in mind had you sniping people in the same way you did in COD4 with MacMillan only with Gaz and Price this time. In the mission you totally could stand up take out your AR and just go blazing through the enemy line with no consideration of stealth and the game wouldn’t stop you, only Price would make fun of you for being an impatient idiot which honestly you would be but it’s fun. That is one of the many things that the campaign did well, but I don’t wanna go over them since I don’t want to spoil anything since it’s a thing worth playing a couple times to experience for yourself. During my playthrough the game didn’t crash once like it did with the MP beta. Now to the full release. I’m lazy so I will quickly list some of the bugs I have in mind that kind of bother me but are outshined by the MP experience overall.
-SBMM very apparent (not a bug but it does get sort of annoying being a above 1.5KD player)
-Textures flashing white sometimes
-game crashing on various occasions
-not being able to select gold camo with your mouse cursor (you can with arrow keys, I suppose this has to do with the consoles in mind)
-VTOL and riot shield gives you immortality for the rest of the game
-shader bugs
Now these are the things that honestly came into my mind, and I would have to think really hard to come up with anything since the things that I listed actually do annoy me quite a bit but it’s nothing really if I put the game itself next to it.
+Gunplay feels amazing, the TTK is extremely quick in core modes and it really does require some precise execution
+movement has been slightly reworked so it feels like a fairly real game and a lot of the things make sense from a realistic standpoint
+camos look ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome and the way the camo system works now means that when you get a camo that you like you get to equip it on any gun you want to
+camo grind isn’t gone but it’s certainly less painful and in the words of Jev it doesn’t require you to change your playstyle and when it does it only requires you to do it for like 20kills which is not a problem really
+progression system, some people have a problem with this since it kind of locks some attachments and weapons behind some guns you wouldn’t want to play but for me it really does make the experience better since I can try which guns are good and which aren’t
+the graphics, I run almost everything on medium on laptop with a RTX3070 and a 5800H Ryzen and the game still looks so nice it almost feels crazy but then I remember that mw2019 did as well and the fact that I’m running the game at like 120+ fps makes it even better. Not to say that the game is well optimized since I feel like mw2019 ran better but again I think that the game did get some graphical updates so that’s that.
That would conclude my review that I made at the exact moment I had 69 hours played so the only word I would write here to summarize all this would be: nice... (it saddens me to report it is not 69 anymore as i accidentaly launched the game right before i noticed i had 69 hours and that i wanted to write a review so lets just assume that i had 69 hours played when i wrote this :steamhappy: )

Being czech, i feel strongly tied to the original as it is one of the games that we as a nation are hugely proud of. I was coming into this experience with expectations and those were fulfilled. The story is as far as i can tell very close to the original, and it still brings tears into my eyes since it is so carefully crafted. Some characters get more depth than they had in the original some get the depth taken away (vinnie and paulie who both could be talking about the gear their giving you which made them feel a little more into it, here ralph as a character practically doesnt exist and vinnie is cool but also not really there that often). The graphics are really immersive, ran this on the highest preset with raytracing (5800X & RTX3070) and my pc barely broke a sweat from what I've noticed. The city is also really carefully crafted and feels alive. When it comes to gameplay mechanics they do feel a little clunky from time to time, the cover system can really mess with you aswell. But i wouldn't say it takes much away from the game as it is a story based title with a open world. Feels like a GTA game but more linear. The soundtrack in this game is amazing though missing some bangers from the original. The voice acting is also amazing (Both in English & Czech, the Czech cast is basically the same as it was in the originals except a few changes, biggest one being in the Don Salieri voice actor who unfortunately passed away a few years back). Cutscenes feel outstanding and beatiful which is due to them being made with mocap that makes them feel just that tiny bit more real. And lastly the noir mode gives the whole game a weirdly chilly vibe that im absolutely loving.

Overall this game is a masterpiece that will suck the average gamer in for a good 15+ hours. At the current price i can only recommed it.
9/10

So, it is time for me to go ahead and write another review. This time for the STAR WARS Battlefront II. There is a couple of things I want to clarify before I go into this review. I have not been playing this game before the release of the celebration edition, so I am completely unfamiliar with the pay to win problems this game had before, and this review is based on everything I have available in the celebration edition. I also have acquired this title whilst it was on sale in a triple pack for a fraction of today’s price (I believe it could be somewhere around 15 euros for the game). And lastly, I wanted to put some hours into the game to understand the options it gives to the player. With these things out of the way lets move onto the review

First things first, the graphics. This game was used as one of the RTX demos and even without a RTX enabled GPU it looks amazing. I am always astonished while looking at the amazing lighting this game has. And do not even get me started on all the small details this game has from the trooper skins to the heroes. Since the celebration edition gives you every skin for the base troopers and many hero skins from the start, you have a lot of options to choose from (I personally always rock the Coruscant guard skins on my base clone troopers). The graphics also slightly differ depending on whether you are playing the single-player campaign or the multiplayer but that is to be expected.

So singleplayer campaign. With this edition you are getting the season pass story which continues where it left off. I do not want to spoil the story at all so ill just say it gives you a new and refreshing view on the war between the rebels and the empire which allows you see the story from a different perspective. The dialogs are well-written and feel natural, facial animations aswell. The story is not cliché and you do not need extensive Star Wars knowledge to enjoy the story as it is. The season pass story expansion gives you about 2-3 more hours to the original 7-8 hours of gameplay which makes it around 10 hours of singleplayer in total which is a nice addition as this game’s main purpose lies in the multiplayer.

Like I said the main purpose of this game is in its multiplayer which gives you a very extensive variety of gamemodes, troopers and ways to utilize them. The mechanics of the two core gamemodes, those being Supremacy (5 command points, two teams fighting over them, whoever gains more control first gets to attack the enemy’s dreadnought) and Galactic assault (Large objective-based maps. 20 vs 20 players with vehicles and so on) are very similar to the ones of the Battlefield franchise as this game is made by the same developers. There are also many other gamemodes such as, Heroes and Villains which is a showdown between the “good” and the “evil” heroes of the franchise or my favourite the Ewok hunt which is favoured by many as everyone wins (almost always). I don’t want to go over every single gamemode as there is like 15 of them.

At last, I would like to talk about the many ways you can play the game. To briefly explain and this might not be brief but, there are 4 starting classes assault, heavy, officer and specialist. Those are the base troopers that don’t cost you any battle points, by killing enemies and completing objectives you earn battle points which allow you to purchase troopers or heroes, most troopers are in the 1000-2000 BP range while heroes are all at 4000. Each class, trooper or hero can be levelled up and equipped with cards that either change or boost the efficiency of certain abilities. There are also weapons you can equip on the base classes, those you have to unlock by playing the game (I recommend using co-op for this as it is easier and faster than in mp). All classes differ in the way you can play them, all can be equipped with different cards to allow for a different playstyle. Same goes for every hero. All this takes some amount of grind as it usually takes a certain number of levels you need to be able to unlock all the cards and level them up. But this is not that much of a problem as it is fun to play this game.

There is one problem I would like to point out, the matchmaking system feels really unbalanced as there is no SBMM so in one game you will teabag noobs and in the other you will get teabagged by MAX level people with 3k hours on the game.
My overall result Is a 9/10. The game feels natural, and it has a lot of cool and fun Star Wars easter eggs but at the same time it just is for everyone who wants a bit of Star Wars.

I will also list some guides here for those of you who want to pick this game up. (these guys are made by this guy https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/id/jos1p , and they just help with understanding a bit about the base classes

So, first I must clarify that I got the game on sale so I cannot really tell what the real value is here.

The first thing that the game greets you with is the claim that you should not play the game on a keyboard because it was made to be enjoyed with a controller. Let me just clarify that this is not true and that the game can be fully enjoyed on a keyboard. It just takes a bit getting used to.

Graphics wise the game looks amazing. Like i love the hair textures and physics. Also, the environment feels alive with all the creatures running around. Like there is a lot of things that catch your attention. There is also a lot of variety to the environment. These small little things that you appreciate make you notice small things that are not broken in any way but still they are not right. For example, once you are editing your lightsabre on the Mantis, you will see that the blade is clipping through the ship’s equipment. Another one would be that your lightsabre leaves hot markings on many surfaces but not just all of them.

When it comes to gameplay it is easy to learn even on a keyboard. The mechanics make sense, and they allow you combine your powers in many ways. Such as a force pulling an enemy onto your blade or just simply pushing enemies of the cliffs with force push. The movement mechanics are also nice and convenient. To simply put it the controls are not a pain in the ass so they could slow your progress through the game.

The story of this game is well thought and put together and there is not a lot of parts where the story would be predictable. I really must appreciate the voice acting and mocap behind this game because there is a lot of life in the characters (at least cutscene wise, when interactions happen in free roam the characters do not know where to look). It is a another takes on the events right after the fall of the republic that does not require you to know a lot about the canon or Star Wars lore in general. Basically, if you have seen the movies, you will be good.

Performance.
I ran the game on the highest graphics present in 1080p and I was getting from 70-90 fps in most areas I have not noticed any game breaking bugs or frame drops. The game ran nice and smooth which only solidifies my point that the pc port was done well.

So in conclusion
Should you pay the full price for the game? yes definitely

9.5/10 for me not having the ability to draw on every surface with my lightsabre.

To begin with, yes it is almost the same as the fc3 and fc4 and yes for some the story may suck but for me none of those things bother me. This game is fairly well produced looks amazing and plays as good.

In this fifth take on the far cry series were thrown into the american scenery. To be more precise we begin by landing in a region where a very weird cult has taken the power over the whole region. The cult claims they want to cause no harm and the just want you to atone for your sins, because everyone is a sinner and you should know that. You as a law enforcer are supposed to take part in the arrest of the cult leader, Joseph Seed. Then everything goes to ♥♥♥♥ and u crash while leaving the are in a helo with Joseph Seed sitting opposite to you. Then you wake up, find a showel and youll begin a immense journey of running around smashing a showel over everyones head.

The story is kinda cool, at least for me since i can easily see things that are supposed to warn us from this planets future. The way it is executed is also really nice. There is a family that has taken the leadership over the Hope County. Each member of this family controls a different part of the region. Everyone of them is specialized in something else. Classic far cry. For me, a person that has played all the farcry games and dlcs, this is a another great story that can easily fit into the farcry franchise. It keeps you entertained the whole time (except for the cutscenes which are sometimes maybe too long but thats just one of the few mistakes this game has)

Now for the gameplay. In this game ubisoft has pushed your physical abilities as close to a profesional athlete as they could. You can even jump higher and better than the profesional athlete Jason Brody and the agile asian from the mountains Ajay Ghale. Ubisoft has also expanded the ways you can aproach this game. You want stealth, you got it. You want going all out, now you can do it threetimes more ways. You want to smash peoples heads with showels and other garden equipment, now you can. You want to cut cultists to pieces with your helo or plane rotor, now you can. You want to throw the garden equipment so it pierces people, oh boi you can. I could go on like this forever and that what i like.

So overall this game for me is 8,5+/10 for the minor mistakes (such as faith seed looking completely different on the pictures, and in the game. She looks bangable in the loading screens but then she doesnt in the game). But the graphics are nice, the gameplay is breathtaking and the story is ok. I will end this review with a old soviet quote ''if something isnt broken, why should you change it'' which describes this series quite well.

So 3 hours in and iam speechless. Im really glad i got a wheel for this since the drivemodel feels great and its really similar to my irl experience. Ive managed to break through the first championship in like 30 minutes with the full 5k credits bonus for not restarting. Oh and did imention i had 1 minute less than the second ai driver. I also turned off all the assistance and stuff like that cause all u need is the voice of ur codriver and a wheel. I totally understand that this game can be extremely hard, especially after my experiences in wales where i felt like catching dragons. But overall this game is a masterpiece, maybe more stages to fit in the group b vibe. Iam talking france, italy and so on. but thats why theres the ugly duckling dirt rally 2,0.
so to sum up
not for everyone
absolute yes for rally fans
do you need a wheel to play? well yes cause its ♥♥♥♥ on keyboard, but actually no,
graphics are ok, but are u gonna notice it when ur flying +100mph through the snowy woods of finland
controls are godlike
its areall simulator of rally so if u dont like the boring stuff its there too so beware that
thats all peace out

When it comes to sport games this one is one of the best. Not only because it is f2p (u get on sports resort but i think thats maybe more than we deserve for paying nothing), but also because of the graphics, physics and overall fun. everytime i thought theres nothing to do i found out about something new to do and thats exactly what u want from a game. The controls are quite weird in the begining but ull get used to them after some time. I would definitely recomend using a controler for this one. Another great thing about this game is that u get everything for the lowlowprice of 20euros. Thats really cheap considering the fact that the similar thing from ubisoft would cost 6 times more. So overall a great game, with a lot of options, free content, and a game thats easy to learn but hard to master
