Even though there aren't that many classes, the variety of ways you can play each class; the "right" way that makes use of the starting relics, or another way where you force the deck to build a certain way makes the game enjoyable to play.

... WHY THE FU- OK. Yes.

A great single-player deckbuilder and works well with a group of friends!
Although the game might seem simple at first, the mechanics work together in complex and interesting ways, so planning a turn out can be frustrating and rewarding.

10/10 would stab a tavern owner again (for the potatoes)

I thought this would be a remake of BoI.
I thought that it was going to be the equivalence of a DLC.
I thought not much after that.
Then I played this game.

Way too much to say:
1st run, half my items are new and I'm trying to figure out the best way to utilize them.
New features was a surprise (but maybe not lol). I found that many of what I wanted and didn't know that I wanted appeared... Nicely.
Beautiful retro-style gameplay, more randomization, wonderful scrolling.
Seeds. Lol. Time to type a bunch of letters!
New stuff. Relates back to the first part. New items, new bosses, new rooms, new everything!
The shops are more than just... I guess... shops?
Secret rooms are fun.
I want more free time.
