A game of peace and serenity that allows you to enjoy the merits and fulfillment of hard work on a farm's field without having to endure the horrors of the outside world and manual labor physically yourself, all the while allowing you additionally to engage with others, form relationships, and participate in town activities without your social anxiety blaring at you the whole time.

The developers are continuing to update the game this long after its release, and that is very much to be commended. The game is not for everyone, but I advocate giving it a shot if you are into the more casual and chill sort of gaming experience.

Early Access Review
A cute and clever game that surprisingly hits so many boxes that games with multiple factors more in terms of manpower and budgets fail to accomplish even at the bare minimum. I guess that's what happens when you develop and craft a stylized and exemplary game with true passion and care. Well beyond worth the asking price for what you get, and the developer seems committed to further improving the game.

Aside from an incredibly disappointing final boss, Arkham Asylum is in many ways the quintessential Batman game, focusing heavily on his well-earned title as the World's Greatest Detective. Though it focuses more on story and stealth, the combat is not to be ignored as it utilizes an incredibly smooth combo-oriented beat 'em up style that hasn't really been replicated as well since. If you're a fan of the caped crusader, this is his best video game appearance to date.

While this game is arguably made obsolete by more modern competitors such as For Honor or Mordhau, you'll still find a solid multiplayer medieval combat experience that holds up to this day, barring a few long-standing technical bugs. There's a great diversity of playable characters, game modes, and viable weapons that you're likely to find your particular niche and thrive.

It's very difficult to try and make these sorts of games work out well, but Soda Dungeon succeeds where hundreds of its competitors fail by combining a charming (if not goofy) pixelated art style with enjoyable turn-based dungeon crawling action that can't be beat for the price. Literally. The game is free, and surprisingly you get a great deal of mileage out of it without ever feeling the slightest urge to pay for anything.

Should be mentioned that the game is likely to run its course fairly quickly for those who aren't into the whole automatic grindfest that it will be most of the time. Your mileage will definitely vary, but given the lack of any financial cost, it's well worth trying.

Few games have so entranced me to the point of completely losing track of the time. For someone who isn't generally a fan of turn-based strategy, I've managed to really get into the deep strategic gameplay found within this game. The sheer variety of civilizations, maps, and methods of victory provided to you begets incredible replay value, only further enhanced by the hundreds upon hundreds of mods created by the community. Well worth the pick-up!

What a complete let down given all the hype for this game.

Despite the colorful visuals and epic soundtrack, you're not much here. At best, the gameplay is equivalent to an "above average flash game", and at worst it is pointlessly frustrating. The former was enough to keep me going, as well as the initial interest in the story and its world, but the enjoyment tapered off quite quickly. That being said, it's a "challenging" game at times, and it rewards you for learning patterns and responding according.

There does exist somewhat of a progression system. You'll unlock a variety of masks, which is pretty cool yet worthless given there's only a handful that are always viable, with some being situational and others entirely worthless. The same goes for weapons, though despite your "unlocking" them, you never get to try them out unless you get "lucky" with how the map seeds drops. I also don't understand why as some late unlocks you'd have things like bricks among objectively better melee weapons and guns.

The story itself is utterly laughable. It started off decent yet devolved into complete nonsense, which itself might be fine if it were done creatively yet that is not the case here. The resulting "reveal" of the point to everything is a big middle finger to the player.

The "boss fights" are some of the laziest and worst designed attempts to challenge a player I've ever seen. None of them are memorable save for the last one which is only so because of how stupid it is.

If I had paid any more than I had for the game (which was a sharp through a sharp sale discount), I'd be more upset. I cannot recommend it to anyone for full price. Just buy the soundtrack. If you get it as a part of some bundle or thanks to a "friend", just knock it out in a couple hours and never touch it again.

A right gem of a game that doesn't seem to get nearly enough attention as it deserves. It's quite the charming platformer that currently offers the most enjoyable parkour experience to date. Incredibly diverse maps and customization options help propel it all into a very quality package.

Criminally short, yet immensely powerful. I'm truly impressed by the sheer quality of all its aspects, namely the excellent music, amazing visuals, and mostly important, the top-tier waifus. The story itself creatively executed, and the horror aspects were masterfully implemented and provided a great deal of impact.

I can't believe this gem was given to us all for free, no strings attracted. Please take the time out of your day to play this if you haven't already. Monika is waiting.
