First time I played I did 9h straight and tbh I genuinly laughed a lot. Plus the scaling and automatization of the production is so far quite solid.

Came back to this old gem, and honestly its one of the best 4X space strategy games out there.

I recommend getting this as soon as its on one of its regular 65% sales. You won't regret it.

Honestly... its bland.

Is it a bad game? Not necessarily, its decent.
What makes this game unique? I don't know.
Is this game forgettable? Yeah

Only buy if you already have other 4X grand strategy games and you're bored of those, and buy on 75% sale.

Learned about the game from the drama that the Dev didn't have plans to add DEI stuff into the game (responding very professionally) and he stood his ground to those bullies who then went in to review bomb this game. So I bought the game to support the dev because of it and because it seemed a decent game.

So far the game is great (considering the game is still in EA). It has the same RPG "fluid" turn-based style as Stoneshard and Quasimorph. You go around the world killing mobs and leveling up alongside your gear, but in this game you can actually build your settlement too. There is also a working mod workshop! From the roadmap published by the developer, they will add things that will make the settlement aspect more like Rimworld with events, raids, and diplomacy. Can't wait!

7.5/10 in the current state, and will likely increase score when the game is out of EA to a 8/10. Good QoL features and solid mods in the existing workshop can put this game into the 9/10 category.

My experience so far:
1) Launched game. After 1-2 min i realize game stuck on loading screen.
2) I re-launched it and after 5min of waiting i closed the game and searched forum to see if others have the same issue. Apparently you need to wait 5-10min for game to launch (yes, I have this game in a VERY good SSD).
3) Enter game, select new game. Prompted to select my stats but had limited explanation of what each one does or whats best, but whatever.
4) Start game, walk around talking to people for 1-2 min until game tells you to get into your ship and leave the planet. I get in the ship, and try to figure out the controls as the game gives you 0 tutorials. Once I figure it out, I start flying up for like 5-10min, unable to leave planet. I try to go into the forums to see if there's an actual button to leave the planet or something, but no, apparently its a bug others have too. So I am unable to progress in the campaign.

Edit:
5) Getting out of stations is like a maze, why?
6) Navigating using the map is a pain
7) Mission location (Koron lab) doesnt appear in the planet its supposed to be in.. apparently its a bug.

If you don't believe this game is crap.... only 1.2% of players have reached level 2.... you get that in mission 2 of the tutorial...

I mean... what the ♥♥♥♥

For 2 bucks at 84% discount, its OK. 6/10.

I went directly to endless mode and my first 2-3 games i got wrecked mid game which was kind of expected because I skipped the tutorial/campaign part. But fear not as I quickly learned how to deal with armored units, and then i basically camped the enemy base until the enemy spawns the wave of death and kills you so there's not that much "tug of war". I am also sad about units being quantity-capped, and the inability to create more structures/defensive stuff in your own lane.

A great game that introduced me to the world of Warhammer 40k. Overall great gameplay, epic story/battles, epic scenes, and well polished.

Buy it, FOR THE EMPEROR!

Buy this instead of Dragon Age Veilguard.

An absolute classic and must-have in your library.

Intense learning curve in the beginning and can understand this would put people off playing this game. As for me, I think I am starting to get the hang of this game.

At the end of the day, this is just another complex production/trading simulator with factions, territories, and real-time battles you can participate in with your ship or fleet of ships, and I'm here for it. The UI is a bit complex but you get the hang of it after some time. This is a game you have to pour 100h+ to really enjoy it.

I suggest you wait for the game to be on sale and buy it. Or buy Avorion, both are good.
