There's nothing quite like the smell of napalm in the morning and a bird flight over the agent orange magnet otherwise known as Nam.

Firefall... was fantastic. Keyword was.

I was stuck on this game for the longest time, I played during the beta and was immediately hooked. Upon release, I was even more impressed with the game, the changes were awesome and it felt like almost like a new game, but with the core fundamentals intact. It was the best MMORPG I had ever played.

However, as Firefall slowly grew older and "new content" was released and changes were made, they destroyed it very quickly. It's not even close to the same game anymore. There are so many bugs that needed to be addressed and never were no matter how many times you and everyone else reported them.

If they one day made it how it was during the open beta or on full release, I would 100% come back to this game and fully support it. But since pigs have a better chance of flying, I will have to bid farewell to Firefall.

Probably the most addicting game I have played in my entire life. Its complexity of maneuvering around the hexagons combined with the trippiness of the maps, makes this one hell of an experience. The difficulty of the game is quite high, so play this game with a mindset that you ARE NOT in fact the master. However, when you crash and burn in the game, it never becomes a rageful experience. You immediately are pulled into the draw of playing just one more round. The rounds are short enough that you don't feel as though you wasted time when you die.

This game is almost a replacement for drugs. While Audiosurf is like smoking weed, Super Hexagon is like being on straight acid. It fits under Level 3 of the Psychedelic Experience ranking:

Level 3
Very obvious visuals, everything looks curved and warped, patterns and kaleidoscopes seen on walls and faces. Some mild hallucinations such as rivers flowing in wood grain or 'mother of pearl' surfaces. Closed-eye hallucinations become 3-dimensional. There is some confusing of the senses (synesthesia). Time distortions and 'moments of eternity'. Movement at times becomes extremely difficult (too much effort required). Can be achieved with common doses of LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, peyote, ayahuasca, and Super Hexagon.

Welcome to Super Hexagon, the cheapest, but most addicting game you will find in your lifetime.
10/10
