Art at its finest, Spiritfarer is a beautifully woven narrative from start to finish. It's also a hearth, generous in its warmth, letting the player do things on their own terms and at their own pace. It's also a heavy anchor in the sea of iniquity, serving as a reminder of our greatest virtues. And what I took from this game is that our greatest virtues are hope and compassion. Hope is a flame, the light that never falters, the beacon of eternity. And compassion is sharing that flame with others: those we love, those who love us, those we hate, those who hate us, and everyone else that make up the great canvas of indifference. As you progress through the game, you'll learn it's the ones farthest from us that teach us the most about ourselves. You'll learn to laugh, to cry, to burrow into a cocoon of catharsis. You'll learn perfection is impossible. But perhaps the greatest lesson we draw from this game is accepting...that death comes for everyone all the same.

Story-rich game with fascinating environments and intricate worldbuilding. I appreciated its commitment to bringing comic accuracy to life, unlike its MCU counterpart. The combat was nothing spectacular, but the narrative flow cements it as one of my favorite games. Please do a blind first playthrough, you will not regret it.

Less intuitive than its predecessor, but tells a beautiful tale of people doing their best in a cruel prison. For you, we will remember. This time, we will win.

Titanfall 2 is a game crafted with love and passion. The graphics are visually stunning, going above and beyond to bring the creatives' imaginations to life. Extraordinary immersion in a far sci-fi planet is a result of such design. To complement the visuals, Titanfall 2 follows a story of a low-rank soldier and his Pacific Rim-esque buddy, as they journey through space (and time) to finish a crucial mission, in hopes of maintaining peace. While it draws many parallels to the Big Hero 6 movie, I felt that there was much more raw emotion hidden behind a thin veil of sarcastic dialogue that is given on the surface. The gameplay is almost unparalleled in its field; I'll mainly focus on movement and gunplay. For the former, all one needs to do is hug the wall, and they become a god. No, seriously, it's no different from noclip. From wall running to double jumping to even mantling, Titanfall 2 removes all the restrictive aspects of movement in other games and redefines them in a manner that allows the player so much freedom. As for the latter, every gun is amazing. You can't go wrong from picking up any random gun off the floor. It's all on you whether your aim is good or not. Now, no game is absolutely perfect. There were times in Titanfall 2's campaign when I got frustrated due to the lack of survivability, especially on higher difficulties. It became absolutely necessary to keep moving, which wasn't ideal in the more enclosed areas of each mission. When fighting the bosses, it's a requirement to learn each Titan class thoroughly, as some fight results came down to who had the better strategy when using Titan abilities, player or AI. This is offset by frequent checkpoints, as the player isn't punished as heavily for their mistakes. Another flaw that's more personal-oriented is the lack of a minimap in the campaign. There were some jump scares that kept me on the edge of the seat because I heard their sfx explode from behind me, without warning. As someone who prefers to go at their own pace, I would have much preferred to know where my enemies were at all times. So, I have a slight grudge with those missions. While these minor nuances certainly exist, they are definitely overshadowed by the game's positives. Which brings me to the last part: multiplayer. Disclaimer: I didn't play much of multiplayer, and I don't think at the point of this review that multiplayer is flooded with a lot of people. But from what little I did play, I found the PvE missions to be the most fun, and the PvP ones to be more frustrating. I can say with certainty, though, multiplayer gives players a broader variety of customizing their playstyle, be it with Titan or player. To conclude, Titanfall 2 is a must get.

Travel back to the days of Ancient Egypt and journey as a vengeful man who suffered the loss of both friends and family. The threat of Mediterranean powers hangs in the air, corrupting the timeless sands of Egypt. The pyramids stand proud as you carry your path of vengeance across a desolate land. Make your way through many visually-stunning regions, each designed with their own flavor. I found this game to be very immersive and addicting, and it rarely fails to disappoint. There are many different things to try out that you wouldn't get to in other games. To name a few: boat combat, horse racing, and hovering near the doorway to listen to brothel sounds. There is no need to a 100% complete this game, and just finishing the main story will give you a degree of satisfaction that will last for days on end. So what are you waiting for? Open your wallet, and experience the memories of Bayek of Siwa and his quest to avenge his son...no, OUR son.

Pretty fun, relaxing game to pick up for a few bucks. There's about a hundred, maybe more, unique levels that range in difficulty and execution. I was lucky to pick this up during a giveaway, definitely doesn't disappoint.

Where to start.

This game is addictive from the moment you wake up in your bed, in a cabin, on a farm, next to a town. It is very addictive. You're thrown into a world where you can finally put all those dreams of growing hundreds of delicious fruits and vegetables, selling them for a high profit, exploring mineshafts to get rich ores, building interesting relationships with the people of a town, fishing for rare and legendary organisms, and seeing your bank account explode, all come true. All that and more for twelve bucks and most of your next few months.

You will definitely get things wrong your first spring, but I guarantee you, we all learn from those mistakes. Part of the fun is discovering things along the way and developing our own sort of pacing. For example, I've spent the first two years fully automating all my farms, so I can dedicate the rest of my time to fishing and relationships. Some people may prefer to go slow on the farming and focus on quests and artifacts instead. I can for sure say that this game is full of surprises and interesting events, and if you're looking for a game to waste the summer away, this is it for you!
