Overall fun

Pros:
Most living world I've ever experienced personally
Progression feels fun and balanced
PVP is noticably gank free, atleast for the time being

Cons:
Frame drops are common in bigger towns and in dungeons. (fixed for me as of Patch 1.01)

EDIT: As you can most likely see, I've put on 1,500 more hours after that review. Unfortunately, over the long life of this game, I can not justify giving it a positive review anymore. Many things have changed and AGS have proven multiple times that they truly do not care about New World. We are just the beta for the Lord of the Rings MMO and AGS has given up on hiding this fact. Purchase at your own risk.

Chat we might be so back

I wanted to love this game. I really did. I bought it on sale, hopped in to the game, excited.
I was met with dead servers and around 200 people playing. I may just be unlucky but the game is unplayable for me currently. I have spent 1 hour in the menus, searching for a server with more than 3 people. Quite sad.

good game anyway

Loved the Destiny series since the first Beta. Highly recommended.

The cosmetics that come with it and the gold name in chat bonuses are nice, but most online servers use a plugin called Rocket, which allows admins to moderate the server and server bonuses. Rocket disables gold chat and instead it will make you defer to the original gray color. So, my only warning is, if you are going to buy Gold for Gold Chat, make sure the server you play on doesn't use Rocket, or make sure that Rocket does not disable gold chat.

This is a very fun game to play, especially with friends! If you enjoy base building, rust-level raiding, and lots of gunplay, then unturned is the game you will want to play!
