I think the gameplay is bad and this is because the Max Payne, bullet time style doesn't mesh well with melee focused bad guys. You don't really need to use the dive and it's often a bad idea to because it leaves you vulnerable on the split second stand up. On top of this there is very poor enemy variety, you'll spend the first hour shooting the same guys and you'll get the shotgun at the 40 minute mark. The writing and voice acting are good but as a gameplay purist the minimum is the game being at least as good or better than Doom.

I believe that games can be considered art and Killer 7 is a fantastic example of this. However this game makes me deeply uncomfortable and due to this shear discomfort I cannot recommend the game. It is a pure sensory nightmare and everything proceeding the opening credits fills me with an dread, fearful anxiety that has unfortunately followed me outside of the game into this review. It feels like something I shouldn't have seen and it's my fault for looking. This game makes me feel like I need to get it away from me and to run and hide and wash myself.

A good game made better.

Eg. They fixed the save terminals so you can only save once per access thus solving the problem of not being sure if you actually saved.

This game makes my blood boil, my hands ache and my penis stand erect. 10/10
