Cute game! I put more hours into Crush Crush than I'd like to admit, so I'm glad its sequel/spin-off is finally here. The boys all have designs and personalities that set each other apart, and the art is nice (I especially like the backgrounds on the dates). While progress slower than other clickers, getting to the next level feels worth it.

However, the game doesn't always start up as it should. One time it messed with my resolution without actually opening, and another it said it couldn't play on the monitor that was selected even though there was only one monitor (and thus one option for the monitor). These issues only rarely pop up, and believe me I've been closing and opening the game countless times, but they're still bugs that can hopefully be squished soon.

Can't wait for the full release! Good luck with your game. :)

Never thought I'd see this game on here!

Yume Nikki puts you in the shoes of Madotsuki, a shut-on who spends her days exploring her dreams. Your main objective is to collect effects scattered throughout the dream worlds, some of which help you dive deeper into the surreal landscapes. There’s no dialogue or story beyond finding the effects, so everything is up to interpretation. The glacial pace might turn off some players, but those who are patient enough to search through Madotsuki's dreams will find a uniquely eerie experience.

My only complaint about this release is that the save music is missing—which is a shame, as it’s one of my favorite tracks. D: I hope an update adds it back in soon!

Normally I'm too nervous to talk to people in games but it's easy in VRChat because everyone's super goofy.

100/10 I wish I had a Vive.

Chill game, it's a nice way to relax a couple of minutes a day. I just wish you could have more pots, I don't want to throw out any of my succulents to plant new ones. D:

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is known as a cult classic, and it’s certainly earned its fanbase! With 7 clans and more than one solution for most quests, there is a lot for RPG fans to sink their fangs into. The dialogue is clever and the plot is intriguing even for players who aren’t familiar with the tabletop RPG it's based off of. It also has a bunch of my favorite voice actors in its cast. (I knew I was going to have a good time when the first NPC I talked to was voiced by Bender.)

Unfortunately, as other reviews have pointed out, it’s buggy as hell unpatched. Story missions near the end of the game don’t have as many solutions as earlier ones and are mostly solved by fighting, which can screw over characters that are better at sneaking or talking their way out of confrontations. Also one level in particular, the Warrens, just plain sucks; the plus version of the unofficial patch adds a shortcut that lets you skip it, thankfully.

If you can look past its flaws, VtMB is a solid roleplaying experience that has more depth than even most newer RPGs. It’s just a shame that it wasn’t as polished as it could have been.

Pros:
  • Has 7 character classes that offer a unique play style, especially Nosferatu and Malkavian
  • Many missions have multiple solutions, especially early on
  • Great writing and complex plot
  • Excellent voice acting
  • Atmospheric, dark without being edgy
  • Fans have made several patches and mods that improve the game

Cons:
  • Buggy without fan patches
  • Can be hard to run on newer computers
  • Late game story missions are almost entirely focused on combat
  • Warrens level is long and godawfully boring

Mad Father is a horror game made with Wolf RPG Editor (not RPG Maker!) that was originally released in 2012 as freeware. So is it worth buying when you can play it for free? I'd say yes! While there weren't a lot of changes from the free version, they're at least big enough to be worth paying for. You can check the first update for the full list of changes, but basically most of the graphics were updated, new scenes were added and some aspects of the gameplay were changed.

As for the game itself, it’s one of the better examples of its little sub-genre. The plot and characters aren’t super complex, but they do have a B-movie charm to them. The art is well drawn, and its huge character portraits set it apart from similar games. The puzzles are clever without being too difficult. It’s also an easy game to 100%, if you care about that.

Unfortunately, it’s on the short side; completing it takes around 2 - 3 hours, maybe 4 if you decide to get all of the achievements. While the Steam version used to have a lot of bugs the publisher, Playsim, has been diligent about fixing them. My only major complaint is that some of the sound effects are too loud, such as Aya's scream when you get a game over, but according to the updates this might have been fixed? I wouldn't turn your sound up all the way just in case.

Overall, Mad Father is definitely worth playing if you like indie horror games. You should also play Misao, which is by the same creator, if you haven't already. (It currently isn't on Steam but I would totally buy it if it were.)

Pros:
  • Entertaining (if cheesy) story and characters
  • Nice character art
  • Creative puzzles
  • Has achievements and trading cards

Cons:
  • Short
  • Sound effects can be loud

Dying a lot has never been so fun.

Super replayable and filled with all sorts of fun ways for your poor player character to perish. Also, if the base game isn't enough for you, there are two expansions and a bunch of mods to spice things up. (I'm loving Shipwrecked!)

Worth checking out if you're into dark and quirky games.

Also, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what is it with weird indie games and suicide? Are you game devs okay? I'm getting worried.
