If you really like the challenges in the main Days Gone and want more, feel free to buy this.

I don't really like them aside from a few hordes and the ones with the motorcycle, but I wanted to support Bend Studio. This "recommendation" is a bit more on the whatever side.

Why god, why did they not go with a sequel. If the biggest problem with your game is the story is lackluster just tell a better story next time. Easy money.

I was genuinely surprised I had this much fun playing this game.

The level design is finely crafted- lots of interesting locations and biomes to explore. The way you get from place to place with the motorcycle is pretty smooth and leads to some interesting interactions with the terrain and the enemy placements. The actual map looks pretty. Good fog effects and grass effects sell it.

The combat is pretty much like the Last of Us with more options and weirder stuff. Tommy guns, napalm bombs, and Anti-material rifles make it feel distinct from the Last of Us's more limited choices. Stealth is.. stealth. Pretty much how you'd expect it, long grass, and stabby stabby.

The horde system is well-optimized and really fun! I really thought the game would chug with that many actors on the screen but it uses some pretty neat tricks to get it running well. Straight up thousands of zombos on the screen running at you, climbing over fences breaking through doors and generally causing a ruckus.

I think the weakest part of this game is the story. I found the story between the different camps fighting one another less interesting than I hoped and I felt some of it like the springs with the whole pseudo-slavery thing should've been more explored. Also Sarah and Deacon K I S S I N G in a tree was kind of boring and not as relevant to the plot as it could've been- guess it kept Deacon a reason to explore? I think the character design is good however. I found myself liking the main character Deacon, and the other side characters too. Iron Mike was badass.

If you're buying this game on a sale I highly recommend- 12.49 USD is a good deal. Otherwise, yeah sure go ahead 50 USD is okay if you can afford it. Bend Studio has seen better days.

This is probably the best dlc for Fallout 4, in my opinion anyways.

Far Harbor is a blast to explore, there's plenty of interesting people and encounters to make the dlc memorable.
There's unique weapons, with their own stats and models. Interesting plant life, and interesting creatures.

Great music. As always.

You've got multiple factions with their own ideals, good amount of diversity inbetween them. The factions leaders have very well-written dialogue and overall have such a great aesthetic.

And it finally answers the larger questions about identity and synthetic life that was ignored in the main quest of Fallout 4.

The companions are about as good as Fallout 4's (not preston though I dont like him)

There's a lot of good quests with lots of different endings with skill checks (perk checks?)-quest design is probably at its best for Fallout 4 in this dlc.

Overall a genuinely great experience.

Very versatile, and relatively user-friendly.

Tons of people out there too, making lots of stuff for it.
