The TLDR of this review is that A Plague Tale: Requiem is a good game overall. Albeit a bit long due to the stealth segments and I have some nitpicks on the story and characters, overall I would recommend playing it if you enjoyed the prequel.

The following review will be spoil a bit about the characters and their part in the story, although nothing major will be spoiled.

The story overall is quite good. Definitely like how it all panned out in the end and how our characters ended up resolving their conflicts. Though with that said, I definitely have some nitpicks on the journey to get to that point. Amicia through out many chapters did pretty much act as the MC, narrator, and pretty much the writer of the story. It was kinda weird and I would've liked that this approach had rather been told through, I dunno, scrolls, symbols, other characters that know more about it, not the one trying to figure it out. Felt quite odd for sure! But still, I don't mind the direction it went, just the execution could have been improved.

Moving on to the new characters, I did like them all. The good guys the bad guys, they all made sense in a way, although some of the bad guys could've had a bit more depth. Though there is one standout which turns sides, personally I think this was not explained well enough after his whole motive was revenge on Amicia at the start. For them to drop this beef felt really odd. But overall, I did like the characters, they were all decent in their own ways.

Soundtrack was amazing. The cutscenes were great, Some minor graphical/audio bugs here and there but nothing my rig couldn't survive. I think the most annoying one was one time when it was raining and apparently the raining sound just carried over to one of the followers everytime they walked, even outside of the rain.

Gameplay was decent, but it got a bit repetitive. I was able to finish the game in 17 hours, but if the stealth or the levels weren't structured in a way that just made you have to do the same gameplay loop of (walk from A to B) over and over with a varying amount of (rats or people enemies) in the way, it would've probably not taken more than a couple of hours at most. There are also a bunch of times when you're locked to walking and often times you'll be waiting on Hugo or some other character to perform some action (for example climbing a wall or moving something) this all adds a bunch of extra waiting time for no reason, which is quite unsatisfactory. With that said though, the levels are really pretty so I enjoyed going through them and exploring. I wasn't able to get all the collectables but I tried my hardest.
One other nitpick with the gameplay is that the game is sort of created so that you can't upgrade all your skills or weapons in one playthrough, which I don't like. Especially since the game is very linear and with me exploring mostly everything on each level, that leaves me with no incentive to go back to play unless I wanna experience the story again at some later date. So, I'm pretty much just salty that I couldn't get the Steam achievements for the weapon/skill upgrades!
Oh and one last thing, the stealth mechanics work great on their own and the combat too. But if you try to do both, it can be a bit goofy. Especially if you're worried about rats and people at the same time. I don't think the devs have that quite figured out yet, as I definitely got punished a bunch of times trying to do something sneaky and then quickly get across some rats, only to be figured out and then the camera was locked in a weird position and pretty much screwed me over. A bit clunky for sure, but it isn't that bad most of the time.

Those were my thoughts on the game. It was quite good, just some nitpicks here and there. It's a nice successor to A Plague Tale: Innocence.

A absolute masterpiece of a game. Long has it been since I just sat down and enjoyed the immersion of a video game, but out of nowhere came Senua along and blew my mind.

I'm not the guy who writes the most intense reviews, but I do believe this is what a video game should be like. It might not have the fancy mechanics of other games, but it truly nails the immersive and storytelling aspects, which is what I look for in a game.

I seriously recommend this game, if you're looking for a experience which will leave you completely lost in its storytelling. Play the game without any prior knowledge and with a Stereo headset and I promise you it will be amazing.

Props to the guys at Ninja Theory for making such a great game and representation of the mental illness psychosis. Also beautiful acting and loved the Norse Mythology lore.

I wasn't expecting anything when going into this game...Oh boy was I caught off guard! I don't play that many visual novels but this one will surely go down as one of my favorites. If you're someone who isn't used to visual novels, this might be a tough choice to start with, but if you get invested into it, you will not stop playing it.

The story is thrilling. The narrative keeps you locked in the mindset, that there's more to the story than what you've been told. So you keep reading on and on, until you finally understand what's going on.
Some visual novels may be agonizing at times to get through certain parts of the narrative, but Cupid is not like that at all. It gives off this ominous & eerie atmosphere, which then also makes it really mysterious and interesting.
The character development is key in Cupid, when you realize the motives concerning the characters and what they're faced with, you find yourself sympathizing with them and truly understand, that there's more to these characters than at face value.

In conclusion I would give this game a solid 10/10 and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking at storylines with a lot of depth.
They should seriously add a price tag to this game, I would pay top dollah for this, it's that good *.*

Counter Strike Global Offensive was the best FPS game out there. Counter Strike 2 is the sequel to Global Offensive. The game still runs and feels similar to Global Offensive, however the engine and the game play has been changed quite a lot, so it is not the same game anymore, although it is very close.

I gave this review a negative score based on the following main points:

  • Game was released as a beta and arguably still is in Early Access. This was felt early on with crashes constantly with AMD GPU builds, Intel CPUs hyperthreading issues, alt+tab crashes, massive influx of cheater problems, and the fact that a lot of game modes are still missing and the game is basically incomplete at this moment. Community servers are basically nonexistent and hard to find because of the removal of the in-game server browser. I've "strike-throughed" the issues that have somewhat been solved nowadays.

  • Valve decided to just delete Global Offensive from existence. While I understand that they didn't want to split the player base, I feel a bit betrayed that I cannot play the game that I loved for such a long time anymore without going through a bunch of hoops. Should've just created a new game on steam and not overwritten Global Offensive.

  • I'm still not convinced that 64 subtick>128 subtick/tick, which Valve hard coded to servers.

  • Skins should be deleted or free. Spray decals should be deleted or free. Valve won't do it because they make millions from all the skin gamblers and kids using their parent's credit cards to buy skins on the market. It's a cancer and is what keeps the game alive for sure, but I'd rather lose half the player base than keep this going.

But with all that said, the game play is pretty good. It is close to how Global Offensive was. In some ways better and in others worse. Some issues that have been introduced in Counter Strike 2, feel like 2015 Global Offensive issues all over again. Though Valve is good at updating the game and fixing things. But the game is in Beta still, so if you decide to play the game, you're basically a beta tester.

Counter Strike: Source (CS:S) Is the game that made me love the franchise so much more than any of the prequels could have, not because how skill based it was, if I wanted that, I'd have gone to 1.6, no, I liked Source because of the community.
This is mostly a nostalgia review as I've not been playing CS:S for over 4 years now (as of writing the review), but this game still holds a special place on my top 10 games fo all time.

What made CS:S special to me, was the community servers that were up almost 24/7. The variety of different kinds of gamemodes was insane back then and the freedom to do whatever in those servers was great. One of my favorite things to do was to go on some random website that had animated files such as .gif or the like and use those animations as my spray ingame. Then there were also those guys who had some NSFW sprays haha, good times.
Source was for me, mostly played for fun. I did not have a good PC at the time, so I usually played maps that weren't heavy on the graphics of the map and only joined servers that didn't have too many people playing. That may have played a part in as to why I wasn't as competitive in CS:S, but never-the-less. I loved playing surf, deathrun, jail and of course Hoejhus! The best of the best.

Source compared to Counter Strike Global Offensive or as it's called now Counter Strike 2 is vast. If you want a more competitive game, go for Counter Strike 2. It is way more restricted and the community is not as big of a factor as it was in Source. If you want to play a game that is very much open and all about the community, Source is the way to go.
The best part of Source personally is that skins, don't exist. Or rather, skins do exist, but they don't cost outrageous amounts of cash. You can just apply one client side and that's fine! Same goes for spray decals. In Counter Strike 2, you have to pay to be able to spray a decal!? Insane, in Source you can put whatever gif or image as your spray and it's all dandy.
Of course, this leads to people also using sprays that are maybe on the more inappropriate side, but the freedom to do so is what I'm all for.
You decide how you play this game and that's awesome.
