Great prequel/sequel to Remothered: Tormented Fathers.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain answers many of the questions that were asked during the previous game's course and its ending. However, it'd seem the developers were too ambitious when they set to make this game, which ended up wounding its presentation.

Overall, Broken Porcelain looks great and has an amazing soundtrack, offering also a really decent story that expands a lot on the Remothered Lore. However, you'll have to be prepared to give in to:

- Some weird design choices
- A lackluster tutorial system to explain some of the game mechanics.
- A sometimes clunky control scheme.
- Some flawed cutscenes that don't really match what was going on during gameplay.

If you can overcome all that and enjoy the game for the story and experience it aims at offering, you'll see beyond the flawed exterior and find out it's a pretty decent survival horror experience.

For a free game, it's pretty solid and fun.
Will probably update this review once the game gets more content...

This game took me by surprise, since I wasn't expecting much of it and bought it mostly because a friend insisted so we could play together.

I have to admit it surpassed my expectations and ended up being way more fun than expected. At the moment of my review, there's around 5-6 maps and three main enemies during the different trials that take place (not counting some minor ones that also roam the map looking for you).

The game offers you two kinds of trials, some that last around 45 minutes which would be the "main" ones and secondary ones that are shorter lasting around 15 minutes. These take place in those 5-6 maps I mentioned earlier, often in different sections of the map so you're not always facing the same environment in these and there's a certain randomness to the map generation (from time to time, you'll find certain traps where there were none, or doors that were previously accesible will be blocked). While you progress through the trials and complete different tasks you can earn different currencies you can spend on cosmetics and upgrades for your character.

Easy to recommend this one if you have some friends to play with, playing solo can go stale really quickly and sadly the matchmaking isn't the best.

A really bad one.

Short map with around three rooms to explore, the entirety of the lore being dropped into notes you can find during the short exploration it provides, which is really immersion breaking since the notes are displayed with a background that looks like a goofy abstract operating system background.

Just crickets and doors opening sounds, no music at all, zero interaction with environment and nothing going on. Just 10 minutes worth of your time spent reading.

Oh, and the achievement images are broken so if this gets displayed on your profile it'll look bad. Another reason to avoid this.

Not recommended at all.

Really short puzzle horror game that focuses mostly on environment than anything else. Not much of a story going on and while it seems there were plans for a sequel, nothing has come out in the years that have passed after its release.

While there are definitely worse free to play games and even worse ways to spend your time, there's not much to say from this game that could make it feel more than a tech demo or something.

Easily beatable in 20 minutes or so, and with hardly any difficulty.
The 3 hours I spent on it were due to some glitched achievements that took quite a few runs to pop.

Recommended if you got half an hour to spare.

System Rift is a DLC that introduces an interesting location to explore, featuring the goat Pritchard and also adds an interesting mechanic to the challenge it's supposed to offer. Also, the DLC and some of its content related directly to the Breach mode in the game (just in case you don't hate that one, it's kind of an interesting addition to the lore about the events that give start to Breach and some of its characters)

All in all, the DLC is worth it (probably on sale, not full price since it's not really that long so maybe just get the season pass instead?) but man I wish they'd at least add this content to the main storyline like they did with DXHR's DLC all in all having this be a standalone gameplay section just makes you wonder if it was just some content that didn't make the cut for the final game and ended up being sold on its own.

Every existing thing is born without reason, prolongs itself out of weakness, and dies by chance.

Early Access Review
Cuando sale del trabajo, Homero viene pensando
Que al bajar del colectivo, esquivará unos autos
Cruzará la avenida, se meterá en el barrio
Pasará dando saludos y monedas a unos vagos
Y dobla en el primer pasillo
Y ve que va llegando
Y un ascensor angosto
Lo lleva a la puerta del rancho
Dice estar muy cansado
Y encima hoy no pagaron
Come y se quiere acostar
Vuelve a amanecer y entre diario y mates se pregunta
¿Cuánto más?
Homero está cansado
Come y se quiere acostar
