Early Access Review
Too early to charge that much money for it. This should've been a demo at most because it's basically a pre-alpha tech demo anyways. yikes

With intricate mechanics, very well-thought-out and interesting puzzles, a beautifully weird non-linear narrative and an AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS art direction, mixing anime visuals with Russian constructivism, this is easily one of the best games I've ever played.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you've ever wondered what would have came out of an "Eyes Wide Shut" style weird-ass orgy party between Alien, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Ghost in the Shell, Evangelion and Ergo Proxy, this is definitely it, and it's just perfect.

I get it, it's "just like in the movies" but the whole game is just the most bland and uninspired shooting gallery I've ever seen. I understand it's a smaller studio but the presentation and gameplay are equally sloppy.

You have infinite ammo on your overpowered handgun? Why take enemy weapons then?

Yeah, we should have a ton of ammo for our iconic pistol but it shouldn't be infinite. When you run out or instead of reloading, we could pick up enemy weapons but they would only have the ammo in the mag (just like in mirror's edge 1) and we'd just toss it afterwards (on an enemy's head even). Maybe then, make it an upgrade enabling you to carry more mags for random weapons?

I don't know, but simples changes like this would go a long way making this game not extremely boring and uninspired.

So... graphics in general, but specially lighting, are also lacking in so many ways. No projected shadows, extremely low poly reflections (Lumen implementation sucks), the very first character you see in the game (a police officer standing to your left) has his arms clipping through their bullpup (animation was probably made with a regular rifle). Like, really? In the very first scene of the game? Where's QA?

So, yeah... I can tolerate bad graphics, but not when it's accompanied by uninspired mechanics and boring ass gameplay.

PS: Oh, also, enemies appear like they're coming from a wack-a-mole machine and it's just so lame... but hey, "it's just like the movies!".

Wow... What a BAD port and DLSS/Raytracing implementation...

Jesus Christ people, if you want to charge full price for your product, we expect full effort. It's that simple.

Had no crashes and performance was fine but good god, I've never seen such a noisy implementation of raytracing, it makes the game visually disgusting.

I'll refund your game now. FIx it and I'll buy it again on a sale.

I completely LOVE the first game and I can totally see the promise of this sequel but, unfortunately, I'll have to say no to it at this point.

The asking price is ridiculously high for the experience you're putting out at this moment. You should be paying us to be your playtesters at the bare minimum. The game has a beautiful style but performance is extremely bad for what it offers visually and optimizations seems inexstent.

Will definitely buy it in the future when the game is actually worth the price but until then, good luck to all pro-bono playtesters.

Just more of the same stupid design choices that continues to completely deviate from the original "SWAT 4 successor" idea.

More useless guns.
More useless gear.
Guns and gear still clip through everything. It's horrible to look at.
Weapon customization is still dogwater.
New surrender animations are completely unrealistic, specially given the totally nonsensical ROE.
More crazy huge maze-like maps that makes ZERO sense for a 5 man team to tackle.
Movement is still too slow for the kind of high pace/huge space/time sensitive scenarios they put you on.
UI still gives you cancer.

Just more of the same amateurish nonsense VOID has been putting out with zero thought put into it.

Hard pass.

It's ubisoft, so you know it's just another creatively bankrupted cookie cutter s&*t a$$ game.

Good DLC for a fair price. But I'm still waiting to see actual improvements in the base game, like bodies and weapons not clipping through the map, way less pop-in of assets, better police AI and animation, more animations and reactions for suspects, segmented animations that don't lock the suspects making them invincible for that short period.

We still want bigger player count in lobbies, options to command more teams of police AI, a way to give orders remotely, we want ways to separate teams into different entry points and much more that needs to be done.

We don't want a WORST SWAT 4, it's 2024, we want a BETTER one.

If you're gonna release a bare bones tech demo about a physics driven board, at least make the physics well polished. Refunded.
