ExoCross delivers on the promise made when they bought Orontes, the game could be considered finished and it's a big step up from DRAG in terms of handling and driving.
The major issue is the price: in the current state there is no way you can justify paying that much for so little. It is a finished game, but not a big or long game.
I bought the original and got away with it for less than a quarter of the price in which case I do recommend it

It had a rough launch because they got forced to release early in a game engine they hadn't mastered yet. Then they spent MONTHS trying to finish the game, leaving VR and Triple monitor support aside. Career mode is awful and the events repeat every season.

Now after 8 months the framerate is noticeably better, major bugs were fixed and codriver calls improved. (Still, if your PC isn't decent you can expect garbage graphics and performance, way worse than previous games of the same developer)

But then they drop the news: the infamous EA kernel anticheat will be added to this game when it was never announced it would be (this breaks the game from launching in linux). EA games EULA says some of their games may require you to install this anticheat, but when I paid for this game specifically nobody told me it would need complete ownership of my PC within the next year even if other EA games already do.
They have a web tool that allows you to watch the GPS data of every leaderboard and club run, but this is optional so the cheaters can simply decide to not show it (???). They could make telemetry public or specifically record it for esports runs, but they are going to annoy the entire playerbase instead when the vast majority of players do not care.
Theres even BLATANT cheated runs on the leaderboards, but they will not add a button to flag the times to help moderate them faster.

Nahhh just wait 2 years until its patched and complete, like every other modern game release.
