3rd patch's a charm! the game finally fills out to being what is described as rouge like, as well as playable in regards to difficulty. I am finally happy with this product as far as being a kickstarter and general fps enthusiast.

The new doom is the perfect follow up to doom 1 and doom 2 which leaves the cramped corridor doom 3 behind in the past. If you like those old school paced games but with awesome graphics it's worth it. The specialty close up kills look right out of the mod brutal doom as well.

most of the negative reviews of this mod are done by those for which who have under an hour game time. in my opinion that is not enough time to accurately review such a thing. in truth its not up to todays standards of graphics and was never meant to be. if you've played the original you might appreciate it as it is, a testament of what can be done with a 17 year old game engine
