This ain’t it xD

Okayish game considering the fact that it was made by very few people. It has some really cool references to Lovecraft's work and the soundtrack is also creating a feeling of uneasiness.
THE VOICEACTING HOWEVER IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE to an extent where I was genuienly wheezing even during serious dialogues..... bit of a bummer I guess.
Other than that it's fine.

feels okay'ish

First of all I have to admit that this game almost made me cry. It has such an interesting and unique story that captivated me from the start to the finish. Just like a good book or movie this game was able to create an unforgetable experience. The atmosphere combined with the artstyle and soundtrack is simply outstanding. Every character in this twisted and dark but at the same time funny and wholesome world is well thought out which is really rare.

In terms of gameplay some of the puzzles are pretty hard and took me quite some time to figure out but in my opinion that is a good thing. I mean who cares about puzzle games with puzzles that are way too easy? The only criticism I have with this game is that due to the fact that this is a point and click adventure, the hitboxes of the things that you need to click can be very if not too tiny and are easy to overlook at times. Just keep that in mind in case you are stuck somewhere.

All in all I had a wonderful experience with this game and I actually feel bad for buying it during a sale which has to say something. The game is worth much more than the full price actually. The devs have truly created a rollercoaster of emotions that made me scared, disgusted and happy. Absolutely awesome!

Edit: This is also my first game that I really wanted to get all achievements in. I have now reached that goal. I am kind of sad now. Wonderful game.

Absolutely phenomenal game! I actually haven’t been this hooked in a while. The atmosphere is incredibly unpleasant and although the graphics aren’t the best I was immersed immediately. (Literally)
The main criticism this game gets is that it’s too short for 5€ but in my humble opinion it is totally worth it. This game managed to scare me more than most modern horror movies lmao.

All right. First of all, I want to say that I have never written a "real and serious review". However, I truly think this game deserves it.

The way the story of the already incredibly good first part is expanded and continued is simply unsurpassable. It adds way more depth to this dark but at the same time badass world of Hotline Miami! Furthermore the game manages to make you care for each playable character in unique ways. Unlike in the first part, you don't play 2 characters here, but a whole 13, all of which have their own charm in their own way. I don't think I need to say anything about the soundtrack in this game, as it is absolutely perfect, just like in the first part. The gameplay is really challenging on the first playthrough and it can be quite frustrating at times but it's not unbearable.

I'm both glad I played through this game and devastated because I'll probably see every other single player game in a different light from now on. This is truly a masterpiece that is second to none! I can’t say it in words how thankful I am to the developers of this game!
