I have spent years with Overwatch, been through many different states of the game and overall sinked in over 1000 hours of gameplay. With all this time within the community I can safely say this game is nowhere near as good as it used to be.

Section 1: Monetisation.

The monetisation for this game is HORRIBLE. Firstly, the price of the skins. You are being charged 20 dollars for 1 skin. 1 skin for a hero you may not even be able to pick for the majority of your play time due to hard counters / meta picks. 1 skin you quite literally only see a fraction of in game. There are many other games such as Dead by Daylight that charge LESS money for their skins. Not only this, you can mix and match those skins different features to your hearts content as well as run them whenever you please. (There are also ACTUAL discounts on skins very often in DBD, not the illegal sales pitch that Overwatch push with their discounts.) This alone just goes to show how overly pointless it is to drop such an absurd amount of money on cosmetics in this game.

Section 2: PvE.

This is the part that really drives my resent towards the big dogs corpos. From the release of Echo until the sudden reveal that PvE was no longer happening, I had so much hope that this game would bloom a new playerbase. For players to enjoy a much more chilled out and enjoyable game when they got sick and tired of the constant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is PvP. Of course, with how the gradual reveal of Overwatch 2 was going, my hopes for PvE were slowly diminishing however I stood strong. But of course, I was left devastated ultimately. The suits realised that they were making enough money off of skins and battle passes and must've just pulled the plug. And I am guilty of buying the season 1 & 2 battlepass, I was blinded by my excitement for PvE and was played like a fiddle as a result. All I can say is, live service models have ruined gaming as a whole, and we, the player base have allowed it to happen.

Overall, I will continue to play this game. I love Overwatch and instantly fell in love with this game from the moment I hopped into a free weekend during Anniversary 2017. And I'm truly sad to see such a great franchise become torn apart by greed and desire for money. Finally, I highly suggest you do not give this company any more money. Push them to make changes in the playerbase's favour. Star Wars Battlefront 2 managed it at release with EA, so why can't we? It's not too late. STOP GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY!

proximity voicechat was a great idea done horribly. its hardly proximity if you can't gage where and how far away the enemy is. If you drop on a hot area its just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of mic spam and impossible to hear anything. was hoping it would be like PUBG but whatever.
