I didn't think I'd enjoy this game as much as I have. It can be very relaxing and frustrating at the same time, but in the end, very rewarding when your factory is running efficiently. Not always easy! Has lots of charm.

What a story. BioWare really nailed it with this series. I've done four runs with the original release and my first with Legendary. There is a lot of content here. Is this edition perfect? No. What EA didn't, modders did. From bug fixing, restoring lost DLC, and other content, this is what Legendary should have been. I will continue to revisit years to come. Note: At the time of this review, Steam has this at 90% off - what a steal!

Fun, open-world game. Lots of variety such shooting, driving, hacking, and snooping around. Can get tedious unlocking this or that by running around Chicago metro finding a slew of items - kinda like the Assassin's Creed series. All around good fun.

(Please refer to the game's description about the storyline as I'm not covering that here.)

Visual Novels have exploded on Steam. Obviously, not all were created equally. This one gets a thumbs up for the following reasons:

Beautifully rendered CGI screens
Well-crafted 3D models
Likeable characters
Smooth animations
Choices will affect decisions that can be made later

The dev did include a music score. I cannot speak to the overall quality as I typically turn off music as the tracks are on a repeat loop that will drive me batty no matter the quality. However, it's offered for those who like that.

A few things to note:
There isn't a gallery option. The developer reported looking to add for the final version.
The game's length. As noted, this product is not finished. Updates have been promised for those who buy before final release.

A story about a serial killer, The Origami Killer, setting up "trials" for his victims similar to that of the movie Saw's Jigsaw. You get to play as four characters:

A dad in search for his son abducted by the killer
An FBI agent looking to solve the case
A PI looking for clues
A journalist looking to help

In the end, will you find the boy and solve the case of the Origami Killer?

Overall a worthwhile story with some likeable characters. Graphically it holds up well for being a PS3 port of a 10 year old game. The story is told over 50+ chapters and contains multiple endings. The chapters are brief enough so choosing to replay one with a defining moment isn't a terrible chore as you cannot skip cut scenes.

This will feel like an interactive movie with plenty of QTEs. Some may loathe these, but they make sense placement wise for the most part and helps to add sense of excitement to a scene. However, the controls can feel cumbersome and quirky at times similar to that of a Silent Hill title.

The story is dark, the colors are drab and muted, and takes place in a lot of rain, hence the title Heavy Rain. You'll often feel like you're in the movie Se7en. It's not a bad thing, but can wear on you the longer you play.

Overall, it was a fun romp to revisit and definitely would recommend!

Has a great single player campaign and now I'm soaking up hours in online. So much to do and so much fun. I cannot uninstall just yet.

EDIT: So much has changed since my 2019 review. R* has killed any fun GTA Online had to offer. I'll still recommend this game for the campaign but a big thumbs down for online play. Not looking forward to GTA 6.
