Performance is still terrible after about 10 weeks. Even with settings reduced, the game cannot and will not perform at 60FPS even on a 3090. This is maddening after Worlds behaving just fine after you turned down Volumetric Lighting.

I really want to get into this stuff, but the stuttering is just infuriating. Frame Generation cannot ever be a requirement to play a game.

A little game at an appropriate price. I've spent more being less entertained. It's not a complex idle game, and endless mode has been good enough to me. The music tracks for the winamp-(inspired? lol) media player are pretty great and set tone. Works well in ultrawide for what it's trying to achieve.

This game is short, but that's okay, not every game has to be big.

An initially confusing, then boring as you come up on the first boss. This reminds me far too much of Defiance (though Defiance was at least interesting to start), and Chimeraland. Both of which didn't really hit mass appeal.

Technology wise the game looks great up to ten feet away, textures not withstanding. Beyond that you have massive pop-in and a really short shadow distance limitation.

Crashes frequently in campaign and multiplayer.

No FOV slider. Caused motion sickness.

Chill and Non-violent is an apt description. It's really hard to describe what goes on in this game. Headphones, a controller, and some time to explore it on your own is a great experience for those that want an exploration game with a different coat of paint.

They recompiled the game and supposedly it no longer is tied to framerate.

Recent updates to Elite have been a huge benefit. While I'm not pleased about the FOMO "early access" to new ship hulls, it is nice to see new ships, new mechanics and finally the end of the Thargoid War. An experience I'll remember.

So.. this game. Was love at first, then distrust as they pushed into the Beyond era. They failed miserably with Odyssey and are now looking to sell fitted ships for cash in the very near future. This game is heading towards the Free-to-Play drain.

Doesn't do much but the core game is decent enough. I've gotten value out of it and recognize that there are costs for running it.

Not usually my cup of tea, but somehow, when I played it, time fast-forwarded 90 minutes and I didn't even notice.

It's pretty good.
