KCD2 starting 2025 strong in terms of GOTY contenders. It's a phenomenal atmospheric RPG game with great story, cutscenes, music and immersive gameplay mechanics. Compared to his predecessor you clearly will notice the amount of polish that went into this game.

For me the most challenging part in KCD 1 was the combat system. So I'm glad that they've reworked and polished it in KCD 2 by simplifying a few things in order to allow newcomers, or people like me who didn't really enjoy it in the first game. To now fully embrace all the other great mechanics of the game.

Definitely worth a buy! And I'm looking forward to put a lot more hours into this game.

Incredible and addicting game! Even for people like me who usually don't play city building & management games :) Can't wait for future updates!

Best MMORPG experience I've ever had! The combat is satisfying, the story is interesting, the world is huge and so mysterious. This is the MMO I'm happy to spend the rest of my life in!

The game's content is getting worse with each patch..

What an absolute stellar VR-Game.
I really loved the puzzles, the controls, the music and the setting in general! I hope to play a sequel of this game in the future! :)

Ich hatte mir das Spiel heute gekauft, mit der Hoffnung ein tolles Remaster von einem, meiner Meinung nach, besten NFS Games der letzten 10 Jahre spielen zu können. Als ich dann ungefähr 40 Minuten gespielt habe, habe ich beschlossen das Game zu refunden. EInfach aus dem Grund, dass es ABSOLUT keine 30€ Wert ist.

Probleme:

Das Spiel bietet ein paar neue Grafikeinstellungen u.a. Temporal Anti Aliasing (TAA), welchen einen hässlichen Film Grain Effekt hinzufügt und das Spiel schlechter aussehen lässt als z.B. ohne Anti Aliasing oder FXAA.
Die anderen Grafikeinstellungen ändern kaum etwas an der allgemeine Optik des Spiels.

Zusätzlich ist das Spiel auf 60 FPS gecapped und es treten des öfteren stärkere FPS Einbrüche auf und dies obwohl ich einen doch eher leistungsstarken PC besitze. Insbesondere für ein 10 Jahre altes Spiel.
Außerdem wirkt das Kampagnen Menü bzw. die Karte um die Rennen auszuwählen, extrem schlecht optimiert und es kam mir so vor als würde es sehr langsam reagieren.

Ein weiteres Problem was ich direkt festgestellt habe, war dass das Spiel immer von Vollbild auf Fenstermodus wechselt, sobald man aus dem Spiel raus 'tabbed'.

Die Tastatur Steuerung ist auch wie damals schon, Standardmäßig sehr seltsam belegt und das Interface erleichtert die Umstellung der Einstellungen auch nicht wirklich. Aber hier kann man alles, mit etwas Mühe, umstellen.


Fazit:

Schade ich habe mich wirklich auf ein Remaster dieses Spiels gefreut, auch mit der Hoffnung endlich wieder mit Freunden spannende NFS Rennen zu fahren. Falls das Spiel für unter 10€ angeboten wird und auch regelmäßig kostenlose Patches mit größeren Überarbeitungen liefert, dann gebe ich dem Spiel auch gerne nochmal eine Chance.

Aber derzeit bin ich einfach nur enttäuscht. Wirklich sehr schade.

I really had fun playing this small VR game. It was a nice little relaxing journey, with smooth mechanics, a great atmosphere and great audio. I definitely gonna check this game out again when I wamt to relax for a bit! :)
