What an awesome SHMUP!!! The gameplay is top notch, the difficulty curve is very fair and engaging, and the level design is fantastic. Operation Steel's main mode takes you through a web of a map, and at the end of each level you choose the next level to go to a la Starfox. In between levels you spend your currency at a shop to get upgrades and heals, and at the end of every run you earn experience towards unlocking new ships and such. One of my favorite mechanics of Operation STEEL is if you stop shooting for a moment all the coins are sucked into your ship. It's a fun mechanic that makes you decide to either keep shooting and move around to gather the coins, or stop shooting for a moment and evade while you suck in all the coins.

Don't sleep on this one. This is top notch.

Pawnbarian is fantastic. Whether you're into playing Chess or not this game is a lot of fun. I only ever casually played Chess. I don't know any strategies, and I only vaguely remember how the pieces are set up at the start. That said, I still find Pawnbarian easy to pick up and make strategies in. The price is super low for how good this game is.

Now can we get this on mobile or Switch please?

It says I don't have many hours, but I play on Switch. I just wanted to combat the idiots saying this game is "pay2win" when it's very obviously not. This game is fantastic. It's such a well executed idea of a Bomberman Battle Royale.

It is absolutely NOT pay2win. The people claiming "pay2win" are clueless. Yes, when you buy the game for $10 you unlock a bunch of characters with special abilities. These characters are balanced super well though. Basically, you have your basic Bomberman characters for free. The Bomberman characters all have REALLY high max stats. They can get the highest stats out of everyone in the game. All the special characters have lower max stats. To the point that some of them can never make their explosion bigger than 1x1 or carry more than 1 bomb. The special characters all have certain power-ups disabled as well. For example, there's a character who has a squirt gun. He can disable bombs and stun enemies with it. It has a 10 second cool down, and this character can't use the kick, punch or throw powerups. The game is balanced very well honestly.

This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rules. Why is it not free to play though? I personally don't mind buying it, but $30 plus a battle pass plus MTX is kind of rough and is pushing people away from an otherwise fantastic game. This is so of the most fun I've had this year, but it's hard to sell people on it when they can't try it out.

Splitgate is an absolute blast! Take the look and weapons of Halo, the map design of Unreal Tournament and Quake, give it some moderately paced movement with a small jetpack, and then add portals into the mix. It's a great time. Easy to pick up and hard to master. I wish there were more specific playlists, but I'm having a lot of fun with what is here. I just want to have a ranked Free-for-All and I'd give this game a 10/10. The monetization is extremely unobtrusive as well. There is absolutely zero pay to win ideas here. Everything you can buy is cosmetic. There are loot boxes which I find to be very boring in every game with them, but I don't mind their existence when it's just for cosmetics, and damn are there cosmetics a-plenty in Splitgate. As it stands this is a 9/10, and easily one of the best Free to Play games on Steam.

Takes two fingers to play. Don't let the title fool you. Enemy on your left? Click left. Enemy on your right? Click right. Stay relaxed. If you mash you WILL lose. Such a simple concept yet so easy to get lost in for hours at a time.
I only have two hours on PC, but I have a lot of time on the mobile version. This game is very well suited to playing for two minutes and then putting it down, or for playing for 3 hours. Buy it. It's cheap and fun.

Classic Quake in all it's glory!!! The gameplay is great and Quake Live runs beautifully with tons of settings to customize it to your liking. Late at night there aren't a ton of servers, but I can typically find a good FFA server. Clan Arena servers are ALWAYS populated if that's your thing. During the day time there are plenty of servers in every game mode. This game is definitely worth $10, all though I'd rather it be free. Quake Champions is free, and I strongly recommend playing that. Quake Live will be a great fallback if Quake Champions fails, or if you're just not into the more modern elements of Quake Champions then Quake Live is the game you're looking for.

High skill ceiling arena shooter. What else could you want out of Quake?

It's a lot like worms, but with tanks and an arc shot style of aiming.
Leveling system rules.
Beat played with friends.
