Great gameplay, lighting, music, and AI. It's worth playing this game and it's easy enough to download and apply a widescreen fix to it. I would say that some of the missions are really samey and it felt like a slog sometimes, but the atmosphere in F.E.A.R. was generally excellent. Glad it's over, in a way.

Tropico 6 is fun when it allows you to be a dictator and build a country, but it's pretty easy to just be a good leader and ignore all of the evil stuff. The evil stuff comes into play when you undertake missions.

Yet what grates me about the missions on this game is the absolutely horrible design that makes you undergo chores to accomplish ridiculous tasks like making half the country unemployed - which essentially means you have to manually go through every building and 'pause' it - or making the whole country live in shacks instead of houses.

This happens again and again. It's just dull. I know you can play sandbox mode but that will occupy you for about 5 hours. The main bit of this game is so poorly designed that it's just not worth it.

I don't want to write this about F1 Manager 2023 because I know how hard it is to make a game and deal with licenses and everything but at the same time, I feel like warning people that this is one to avoid.

Good things about F1 Manager 2023:

- Fully licensed, has every circuit and driver plus Sprint events.

- Graphics are decent.

- Tyre strategy is sometimes fun. Undercuts and overcuts can work sometimes and it's satisfying to pull off a good race when the game doesn't do outrageous things like have every single one of your pitstops in a race last 8 seconds apiece.

Bad things:

- Drivers constantly crash in practice sessions. Play for a few hours and you too will notice that Yuki Tsunoda and Oscar Piastri are torpedoes.

- Crofty and Karun's commentary just seems out of place. Why bother even putting them in when they sound like those AI voices off TikTok.

- This game is heavily weighed down by its licenses. No fake sponsors, recruiting drivers outside F1 feeder series. No pay drivers.

- Stewards are hilariously bad and there's no way to challenge them. I've been penalised for some crazy stuff like my driver being hit by another one who's not even alongside them, which is the rule.

Worst thing:

- The game is too punishing with pit stop mistakes and lock-ups and driver crashes within races yet it's also too easy because... this is essentially a game about busywork. Setting up your car? Adjust some sliders until they get within a set range by the game that only makes sense about half the time. Improving your car? Adjust some sliders until number goes up. It's so boring and depressing to think about the busywork that I'm now going to uninstall it.

A deeply flawed representation of Formula 1, but a game that is worth picking up at discount if you don't mind its various irritating features, or lack of them.

Unbelievably glitchy on a Windows 10 computer. Avoid it. So many issues that make this game unplayable, and not enough fixes to catch up.

Great fun. Charming, relaxed, fun, beautiful at times and overall the perfect game in my opinion. OK, it's not too difficult but not every dinosaur game has to try and be Jurassic Park now, does it?

This game is a really good NASCAR game. It's rough around the edges, sure - the AI can be frustrating sometimes + yellow flags get thrown as inconsistently as in real life - and pitting under green flag is borderline impossible. For the sale price, buy it. It's definitely not "just turning left".

This game should not be as fun as it is. It is stressful, and some of the content could be disturbing to you (suicide, bombs, murders, rape gets mentioned, some other stuff like that) but if those things aren't an issue then you should totally try this. It's like a strategy game but much more frantic than most, with no active resource gathering.

I really wanted to like this game but it's written in a way that made me want to kill myself, and that's how much fun it was for me too. The art style is terrific, and it seemed promising, but life is stressful enough for me that I want to enjoy my games, not just read them wondering what the hell is going on.

I wanted to like this game but I have a job and people in my life who basically drain all my energy and so when I switched on Xcom 2 it took the last dregs of any sanity I had and threw them into a blender as it's so bloody difficult. Yes, I suck at it, and I'll put my hands up and say that, but this game not only reminded me of that every turn, it became so incredibly difficult for me that I'm surprised I managed to uninstall it so easily - which was the only part of the experience I managed to accomplish without failing.
