The story of this game, at least so far, is honestly quite bad. Without spoiling anything, barely anything makes sense. Your character is arrogant and a bit of a ♥♥♥♥ but he's the best character overall. Every other character is something you've seen before. The friend, the rival, the person in command that hates you. The enemy who thinks hes right. ect ect.

What I can give this game is that while the combat can feel unresponsive it is by far the best part of this game. A game about stealth and assassinations.

Just don't bother with this one.

There is also the fact that missions are incredibly repetitive and you'll eventually see that they're just the same thing masked a different way. Be it with an added timer instead of just letting you do it freely as you can see from the first image in this games showcase. I must also say that some things in the game are just there to annoy you. Citizens may push you when you're just about to assassinate someone. If they push you into a guard then boohoo you have to RETRY EVERYTHING because the guards will attack you just for that. You can't even RUN without people getting suspicious of you which makes every inch you get through in this game a never ending sluggish mess that is just frustrating and not rewarding at all.

Assassins Creed is a game that I have not been able to complete because of how frustrating it is. Take what I say about the story with a grain of salt since I did not go further than the 4th memory block. The biggest thing that I have a problem with is the gameplay. The controls are badly designed and are not always responsive. You can rebind the keys though which helped with this issue somewhat however not with the unresponsiveness. I always felt that at least one of my counters or counterattacks was not taken into account.
