Early Access Review
Updating my review on July 9th: Yes, I'd recommend this game. The career mode got a cool update showing that there is a plan in mind to make the game more than a sandbox, but to be honest, the sandbox aspect is good enough. It' really fun and relaxing to drive around maps like a normal person, or floor it and drive like a maniac. If you know how to set up virtual axes on your computer, do so and have even more fun. Otherwise, I'd recommend setting your mouse axes for the three pedals and have a more pleasant experience. Final tip: Download the BeamLR mod, it's a career mode, but better.

OLD TEXT BELOW.

TL;DR If you want to cruise around, test your skills on a track, tune cars and crash them into stuff, by all means buy this game without even thinking about it. If you want a sense of purpose and linearity, rewards for doing stuff -- don't, it's a sandbox.

I love this game for what it is --a sandbox car simulator. It simulates EVERYTHING in the car, from the alternator to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tire deformity. But that's it, there's no purpose, no sense of progression nothing. It's a sandbox simulator for cars where you can do anything the physics simulation allows. The game will help you a lot if you want to:
-Learn how a car works
-Learn how to drive in real life
-Understand the parts of a car
-Understand the physics that govern a real life car

BUT if you want to get a car and do missions, have a story with progression, then bad news, it can't help you. There is a career mode but it's very experimental. As of right now, it's nothing more than a set of errands, divided in 4 skills (delivery, racing, off-roading and specialised stuff like police), where if you crash your car you have to pay a lot of money for repairs or wait a real life time limit for the insurance to fix your car for a fee. It's fun, but wears off real quick --I got to max level delivery within a day and bought a truck to haul bigger freight and earn more money, but it's more of the same.

In Freeroam you have a couple of missions but they're hardly a challenge because the AI racers are really stupid and crash all the time. The ones you race solo are also not a challenge, even if you're playing on a keyboard like I am.

All in all, I still recommend it and still play it a lot (I reached the 100 hour mark within a forthnight). Even my potato laptop runs it, with very low FPS but enough to not make it infuriating. There's a bug with the vehicle triggers for opening doors, boots, bonnets though, where they simply vanish and support couldn't help me. Probably due to my rig, but I tried on the same laptop running Zorian (linux) and the triggers worked.

Pros:
-Well, it's a clean-up simulator. I'm a simulator sucker, hate me.
Cons:
-One level; No replayability
-Collision boxes of models. I can't fit statue pieces and glass shards in the same battle, literally wtf

I see it has Devolver Digital on its credit, so I can't help to think they should've made a Hotline Miami version. Now THAT would be really fun to play, and I'd pay full price to clean up all the levels.

Remember when Valve and Bethesda tried to push paid mods? Well, this DLC is exactly it. Though I believe modders can't offer content that DLC would, but for free, this DLC is basically Homemade, but with a price tag.
"B-but Homemade doesn't have cages or neon signs!" well, no, but it could have had, haven't Bethesda decided to make a paid mod.

The main quest is your typical "Let's hunt the comic book villain and put 'em down", but it still manages to be interesting and better than vanilla's main quest (although everything is better than that). The best feature, without a doubt, is the possibility of building your own robots that follow you and fight for you wherever you go. BE WARNED, THOUGH, that if you play unmodded, you only get 1 (one) robot follower. I personally recommed getting an uncap mod at Nexus, and Robot Home Defense (which is required, anyway), so you can give orders to them.

As with all Fallout 4 DLC, it is overpriced, but it is good enough for a positive review.

Objectively the best Fallout 4 DLC, because it delivers when we talk about content. It gives you:
-An interesting and HUGE map;
-Its own fauna and inhabitants;
-New items that are really good;
-A main quest that is excellent;
And:
-The second best character in the whole game.

A bit overpriced if you ask me, but I'd still recommend it.

It's not as bad as reviews make you belive it is, but yes, it is bad.

Cons:
-You're building underground, so you can't really see your vault
-Can't dig the construction site, so the layout is limited to what Beth wants
-Boringly evil Overseer that wants you to be Vault-Tec evil. I hate Vault-Tec and their experiments; I wanted a safe-haven vault. Can't have it.
-You can't tinker with Vault 111 and/or bury your spouse, even though that was the most logical decision.

Pros:
-Can build vaults, and the lore explanation is quite satisfying.
-Surprisingly well written quests.
-Some say you can build vaults everywhere, even though I never did that and probably never will.
-Content is actually good, you know, if you like basebuilding.

But no, I wouldn't recommed it. It's far too little content for that price. Get the season pass if and when it goes on sale.

This is game is much better than it seems. Don't be fooled by the simplistic artstyle; you're in for a hell of a story and good characters. Shame it'll never get a sequel.

Rockstar finally learned how to optmize a game for PC. Gamewise, I have no complains, as this game runs perfectly on my mid-end system.
I also would like to point the attention they gave to detail in this. I.e.: For the first time in all of GTAs, the steering wheel does actually move. That may not sound much, but it is truly a big thing.

Things I didn't like were the rearview mirrors on cars being nothing more than a low-quality mirror and the Online having nothing new. I hope this will change in time.

Either way, good job on the and its enhancement, Rockstar. Definetely worth my money.

This video pretty much sums up my opinion on the game.
