TLDR
While the gameplay itself is promising, responsive, and fun, the game as a whole, lacks in every aspect possible.

5950X + 3090, SUB 60FPS in some regions in 1080p medium/high settings WITH DLSS (no frame-gen)

It seems that the RE Engine needs a complete overhaul and is not suited for games with open environments. There are problems with performance, shaders, textures, and meshes. The engine is barely keeping up with what's in the levels right now. That's not something they can fix overnight. It will be years before this game (and other open-world games on RE) becomes truly playable on PC.

Compared to Wilds, World environments were HUGE. They were colorful, diverse, multilayered behemoths. This time we got flat levels with some passages, but scaled down just enough to be playable on the available hardware. Grey and brown are dominant colors, dithering is visible everywhere, it's boring, easily forgettable, and a huge step back.

I bet you the only reason the enviros feel so much worse than World is the performance issues they were fully aware of. Full-scale levels will come in ~2-3 years in a new DLC.

That's just my take on it - hated Nata and his character development all the way through. Everyone bends to his will as if he's some kind of a prodigy.

My first base burned to the ground because of 2 suicide bombers.
After setting up at the new spot, I got violated by the squad of overleveled yandere fan girls.
