Has its flaws but it still stands well above the competition Well worth the time playing.

Looking for something to scratch that Final Fantasy Tactics itch? This is the perfect game for it. Combat and class variety is great. The story isn't anything groundbreaking, but it's well written with enjoyable characters. Plenty of things to experiment with and explore. Definitely recommend.

tl;dr: Some cool systems, probably a good game if you enjoy a grind or just approaching it casually. Forced myself to finish the game for the sake of finishing it, absolutely no payoff from completion of the game for me.

There are quite a few things to like about this game. The atmosphere and such are great, the animations and artwork are well done. The music is good enough, though it gets really repetitive after a while.

I enjoyed the game for the first third to half of my playtime, probably. Figuring out the mechanics, getting myself set up. There are some decently designed systems in here. Maybe a few too many, that have too many little parts that need to be done. The initial premise drew me in, and I enjoyed the idea of figuring out the world and what kinds of things I could do as a possibly somewhat shady graveyard keeper.

It's just such a huge grind. Worse than things like Stardew Valley, which I enjoy though admit I haven't "finished" so maybe my complaints would fall into the same if I kept going like I did here. I did manage to finish this one. If you enjoy repetitive tasks, and performing tasks that don't actually help you much but help fill up your various forms of XP/currency, then sure, have at it. The time and energy system just bogs things down even further. More often than not the game just feels like it's wasting your time just for the sake of wasting your time. The combat and "dungeon" such as it is is probably the worst aspect of the game. Clunky mindless combat, and again absolutely zero payoff. The game isn't "challenging", it's just a time sink.

After that initial point of enjoyment I just was forcing myself to finish to see if there was any value to be gained from the grind. There's not. The story and NPC interactions are barely even surface level, and there's little to no payoff in the end. I wanted to "figure out the world", but there wasn't much to learn that you don't learn early on. The game promises "ethical dilemmas", but you don't actually have any choice in the matter. You either do all the things, or you don't finish the game. Having a choice of how you went about reaching your end goal might have changed my mind about things, if there was a bit more depth in general to the story alongside it.

Early Access Review
Rough around the edges, early access and all, but I think there's potential for a fun co-op game here. Dungeon crawling is sort of reminiscent of Diablo, but with a first person view and a lot of abilities to work with to keep things interesting as you level up. The dungeons ramp up in difficulty as you delve deeper. With a bit of a rogue-lite element it's a bit unforgiving if you die, but you're always getting more powerful so you can ramp up the difficulty or plow through as you see fit.

As it is the AI is fairly simple, something I hope will be improved upon to make the fights more interesting and to encourage teamwork in larger groups. There are a lot of things that need to be tweaked and optimized, and the groundwork for a lot of things that you can see coming in the game - as of right now it's mostly the dungeons and none of the overworld exploration.

If you're looking for a game to spend time dungeon crawling with friends, this will be the one to look for and I can recommend it right now even in its early access state, and it should only get better from here.
