Spoiler free review. Keep in mind I am writing this review after I have played and finished the game in the day 1 patch, I have also played the first game and completed that alongside every expansion.

The story and music was awesome, great methods to narrate are used that work for old and new players alike, the characters are great, more distinct and recognizable thanks to the enhanced visuals. I particularly love how all the different characters interact with each other. I would have liked to get into specifics but I want to keep this review spoiler free.

Gameplay wise it felt good for the most part, you can tell a decent amount of thought was put into the map design and layout, giving you multiple choices to break into a building, reach a destination stealthily and generally finding different routes intuitively, especially around the big city of Kuttenberg. One of the things I did not quite like are the changes to the combat system compared to the old game, you can no longer do stabbing attacks with right mouse button and instead you have to hit at the bottom part of the crosshair which became annoying after overflicking when being locked into an enemy and having your camera fall downwards, right clicking is now the keybind to block attacks (as opposed to pressing Q in the first game).

The inventory system, while better than the first game, lacks a lot of needed functionality such as more ways to sort and search for items, the biggest complaint I have had is having my immersion ruined by my gear getting unequiped again and again and again and again... after some cutscenes / points in the story because I would either be stripped or be forced to wear some specific attire required for a quest, it is understandable that Henry would need to disguise himself for different meetings but the way it is implemented is horrible, if it were up to me I would add an additional gear profile slot that is reserved for these quests, so I can easily switch back, the current implementation feels rushed and I hope it gets improved.

Performance was alright, my game sat around 90 to 150 FPS on 1080p medium settings with FSR (quality) on my RX6600 and 10700K, although I did experience quite a few crashes, not to the point where the game became unplayable but definitely enough to become frustrating after a while which made me lose interest for the day.

I was a little disappointed after finding out a bunch of features from the old game that were relatively simple and I don't think would take a lot of time to implement, went missing, for example, there is no way to change Henry's hairstyle or facial hair like you could in the previous game, I expected hardcore mode would be here since it was a feature I closely associated with the first game.

Although the game currently has it's issues I would still recommend playing it, go and have fun!

Kind of disappointing, very limited on what you can do and you can't have every building built, you have to choose between some of them like the stables and the guard house, you never build any houses or see the village expand out in the forest (something mentioned multiple times throughout the mission), at least you get passive income as the bailiff after you complete it. Base game is awesome and this feels very poorly made in comparison.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance tries to do a lot, and succeeds in a lot while also managing to mess up the simplest of things. Let's get all the problems I had out of the way.

The game is filled with a lot of seemingly very easy to fix bugs that you will notice on any play through. From very minor issues like having your cursor stuck on the screen for seemingly no reason and having to restart the game to make it disappear to having characters be killed by indirect ways and getting the mission stuck.

Ignoring the issues this game places you in a very interactive, big and beautiful medieval world as an 18 year old boy called Henry, with tons of different ways to approach the different missions. The main story is completely optional but i would highly recommend playing through it because its a great story that also acts as a tutorial for the various mechanics, it lasts for around 30-40 hours. There are quite a lot of optional missions and side stories / DLCs to enhance the experience and develop the world even more.

I have received this game for free from a friend and i couldn't be any more grateful to him, I had never heard of this game before so i went in completely blind, would definitely recommend this game to anyone that has the time to appreciate it.

The game is very boring and really not that great right now, the movement feels very choppy and not polished at all, knock back taken by being hit feels very staged and unfinished. There is a perk system in the game but it doesn't feel intuitive at all by making you select your perks at the start of every game adding an extra step while something like this should clearly be an option in the lobby. But of course they couldn't miss the perfect and flawless battle pass system and all the other micro transactions that make games "free" these days.
