I don't normally write reviews on steam (positive or negative) but this game is special enough to warrant my time. Helldivers 2 is one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I have had with my friends in recent memory. Just about every aspect of the game is superbly polished. There are occasional bugs and balance issues but Arrowhead have been doing a good job of keeping on top of them and providing fixes in a reasonable amount of time. I find myself always looking forward to new warbond content and mission types. The two fronts that are currently in the game have such wildly different playstyles that it almost feels like two completely separate games for the price of one.

Most of all, the development team at Arrowhead have been doing a wonderful job of listening to the community and acting on the feedback to make the game experience the best it can be for their players. Recently, the PSN requirement announcement from SONY brought to light a problem with how the publisher was handling it (allowing Steam sales for the game even in countries where PSN accounts are not available) and the community let their dislike be known. Arrowhead stepped up in their negotiations with SONY and did their best to convince SONY that the requirement was not right for the PC market and SONY listened.

It was a troubling experience from the perspective of the playerbase and I can only imagine it was MUCH harder for the developers at Arrowhead to see their hardwork tarnished in player's eyes. I am so glad that SONY was able to see sense and reverted the requirement.

I want to thank Arrowhead for going to bat for us and for making such a wonderful game. Your efforts certainly do not go unnoticed.

I started using YUR when it was a mod for Beat Saber and I absolutely loved being able to actually quantify the amount of effort I was putting into the game. VR games are a wonderful way to incorporate exercise into my free time in a way that doesn't make it feel like a chore. YUR helps to gamify that even further by giving you a heads up view of how many calories you are burning while slashing cubes in two.

When YUR migrated to a Desktop application and was able to be incorporated into SteamVR as an Overlay, I was stoked. Now it worked with a bunch of my favorite games and was seamless to use between them. AWESOME!

I recently have had the pleasure of being invited to test beta releases of new versions of YUR and I got to interact with two of the developers directly. They were both extremely easy to interact with and were very open to feedback. They obviously have a passion for their app and want to make it beneficial for everyone using it.

I HIGHLY recommend trying YUR out. If anything, its a great way to push yourself to play harder and get in better shape at the same time.

Great fun when playing with friends. I wish there were more co-op games that required planning and some measure of skill to pull off well
