Early Access Review
I like Polygon

The game is a free-to-play "battlefield clone" with low-poly graphics. If you're into super realistic graphics, then you're in the wrong place. The graphics might not be crazy, but i feel like the low-poly environment has a certain charm to it - not to mention how well optimized it is. The game literally only takes up 1gb of storage space.

There are currently 2 gamemodes, "Conquest" and "King of the Hill". Conquest is a gamemode with 3 different objective points (usually on the larger maps) where as King of the Hill only has 1 objective. The amount of guns are quite scarce at the moment, however the developers are working on adding more guns and attachment modules. As of now you have a handful assault rifles, snipers and a marksman rifle.

The game economics is quite nice in my honest opinion. I was afraid that it was gonna be a micro-transaction nightmare. There are 2 currencies in game, one being "Credits" and the other, a premium currency called "Crowns". You gain XP and Credits from every match, but you have to pay if you want Crowns. It is however possible to obtain crowns for free through the battlepass. The battlepass consists of 50 tiers, a few of them being free, but you need to purchase the battlepass with crowns if you wish to reap all of the rewards. That's fine, kinda similar to most battlepass mechanics.

There is also the possibility to purchase skins, most of them with crowns. You also have the option to buy a VIP membership (for crowns), which gives you +75% xp, +50% credits and 30% battlepass exp. I think it's fair for a free to play game in early access to have such mechanics, it doesn't give you a direct advantage, just makes you unlock rewards faster.

As of now, the playerbase is quite small. Only around 250 active players on average. There is usually around 7-10 servers to pick from, but i'm hopeful that the game will receive more traffic as they release more updates and content.

Here is a list of things i want to see in the game:

More attachments - Lasers, extended magazines, different barrels/stocks that affect recoil/sprint/ADS and maybe even different bullet types.
- Equipment such as stun grenades/exploding knifes or tomahawks/RPGS/Claymores.
- A bigger map with level destruction elements, where you can use vehicles such as motorcycles/tanks/jeeps etc.
- A smaller and more compact map where you can play gamemodes such as deathmatch/team deathmatch/CTF.
- Player customization, pants/belts/vests/helmets/gloves that gives you speed bonus/headshot resistance/ability to carry
more equipment and so on.
- I also wish that the graphics/shaders receive an overhaul. As of now, if you scope in from long distances everything is sort
of white-ish which is kinda annoying.
- Better team balancing
- Voice chat
- As of now, you can only spawn on squadmates if you are actually playing with a friend. For people who arent in a squad, it
would be nice if they were automatically put into squads in each respective match, so everyone could make use of the
squad spawn option, even if they are playing alone. (like in bf4).
- Emblems and banners.

I am looking forward to what the future holds for Polygon.

Probably one of the most immersive open world zombie survival games. It's just so good. Sadly i can't play as much as i like, because you have to invest a lot of time in it. Definitely a thumbs up from here.

I really recommend this game. Here's why. [DETAILED REVIEW INCOMING)

At first i was skeptical - i thought it would be another one of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ p2w first-person shooters. However, i was wrong.
Yes, there are microtransactions, but it's mostly just cosmetic items. You also get the chance to buy some cosmetics/skins with Gold (regular currency earned through battles). I will go into further detail later on.

Ironsight is a fast-paced fps game which strikes resemblance to call of duty, and if you're a previous Blacklight Retribution player, it sort of gives that same vibe (which i absolutely love).

The maps are cool, and a lot of them have interactive elements, such as ski-lifts and elevators (think battlefield).
The maps are not as big as battlefield though, they are usually quite compact, which is perfect for fast-paced games - but there's also a handful of maps that are big and offer suspenseful sniper battles.

There's a wide arrange of recognizable weapons. For primary weapons, you got the assault rifles, smg's, snipers, lmg's and even a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shield lmao. For secondaries you got some sweet pistols (also a magnum for the cool cowboys). You can even equip a crossbow. And yes, they got shotguns.

Ironsight also offers a pretty okay customization system. The reason it's only "okay" is because you can't change the stocks and so on, but that's alright. You can attach a pretty big amount scopes/sights, and you can even equip custom reticles (they got a monkey reticle, dunno why you would use that - but adds to the cool factor). If you wanna be the silent killer you can equip a silencer, or if you wanna get in control of your recoil, you can equip a muzzle breaker etc. etc.

Your loadout consists of a primary and secondary weapon, a knife, a lethal equipment and a tactical equipment. They got some pretty cool equipment such as throwing knifes, throwing axe, throwing explosive knife (my favourite). They also got the common ones, such as claymores, landmines, flash grenades, smokes grenades, incendiary grenades and so on.

Like in COD, you also have a perk system. Pretty sweet to customize your gameplay style. Pick your poison. Ironsight also have some pretty interesting killstreaks, which is awesome. They offer a lot of different drones, some shoot at the enemy, some uses surveillance tactics to expose the enemy location. You have a few turrets, some shoot down enemy drones, some shoot enemy players. You got the typical bomb strikes and a "blade drone missile" which is basically just a controlled missile. If you can get that streak going high enough, you can even get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mecha suit to absolutely slaughter with (they occur quite rarely in games though, since you've got to have a pretty high streak, unlike in blacklight retribution.

What i really like about Ironsight is the ability to create your own identity. You start out with a semi-customizable male character. You can change the face, hair, jacket, pants, backpack and also a few other trinkets. A lot of the customizables can be bough with gold, but the "cooler" ones can be bought with either chips or w-coins. I'll explain the currency system in a bit. You can also buy characters who aren't customizable, but they already have a cool look. You can be the shady sniper guy, the russian combat lady with the mandatory revealing cleavage or even a cool looking robot.

Let's get down to the currency system. You have the Gold, which is earned after battle. In the beginning levels, you acquire a large amount of gold everytime you level up. That gives you a chance to buy a handful of weapons to try out, before it gets a bit more tough saving up. Then you have chips. Chips allows you to directly buy a lot of skins, but it also allows you to buy boxes, which are gacha-like. You buy a box for like 25 chips, and then you obtain a random item in the respected box. I've opened a couple, and had "okay" luck with them, but i'd recommend spending your chips on a few more loadout slots to start out with. You obtain chips either from daily challenges, or the chip funding box which can be opened every 2 days. It's a nice way for F2P players to obtain some cool skins without having to pay, however it is a rather slow progress, and i'd recommend people to atleast consider spending a little money to support the game development. Last off, we have w-coins. W-coins can only be bought with real money, and you can use those to buy packages, or to buy Gold or Chips. You can also use W-coins to buy items such as K/D reset or clan name changes etc.

The matchmaking system is fairly okay, if you don't count parties (let's say a group of 4 veteran players team up and absolutely shred your team - not so nice). It doesn't happen that often though. Ironsight has a rather small playerbase (which is why i'm writing this review), so you often see players you have matched with before, which is still quite cozy, but limits the matchmaking a bit - not a huge problem though. It gives off a close-knit community vibe. After each game, you earn XP, Gold and weapon XP (for unlocking new attachments). When the game finishes, it shows a highlight of the best play, which is so satisfying to be featured on. At last, it shows a stand of the winning team, where you can taunt the loser team with emotes (to piss them off).

The level cap in Ironsight is level 1000 (or so i've heard). They got the emblems to show your status, like in battlefield and COD. There's also a big amount of achievements to unlock, and some gives you money and others give you items such as callsigns. You can also create or join a clan to participate in clan wars with. Ironsight has a ranked match system, and every season, the top 200 players will receive a very cool prize. It's a nice motivation.
Ironsight has a battlepass, each season consists of a different theme. As i'm writing this, it's a WW2-themed battlepass. Some of the levels in the battlepass gives out freebies, such as a Luger or a Thompson, and sometimes a little sum of gold. It's nice to keep the motivation sparking without spending money. Right now i'm trying to reach as far as possible before i buy it, because i have a rather bad habit of buying battlepasses without fullfilling them lol.

Ironsight has it flaws though. It has quite large hitboxes, but it's easy to live with. Some players are toxic and will shame you or call you a hacker. Just like any other fps game really. From what i've seen, the developers are cool and listen to the players (they changed the ranked season rewards from top 100 players to top 200 because a lot were complaining). Right now it has a rather small playerbase of 200-300 average players at a time. I want YOU to play the game, so we can increase that number! I really don't want Ironsight to share the same fate as Blacklight Retribution, and leave the game to rot or even close it down. So before it comes to that, join in and have some fun!

I think that was all.

TLDR; Just try the game man, it's free. Give it a couple of hours. Either you'll pass it on, or you'll become addicted. Seriously. Your wife will leave you and take the children with her.

This game was my favorite game ever, until the greedy developers broke it... For example making major parts of the game untradable...

It's really a shame, it was such a great game!

I recommend people to play this, but at the end-game it gets really tough...

I miss grinding with my friends :C
