It took some time to get there, but this game is pretty good now.

I just saw the dev screenshots and LOL.

I was already on the fence about whether or not I even liked this almost entirely different version of the game, but now I am actively not going to play just to spite these sh*t-head devs.

It's Skyrim but with different leveling, scaling, and writing. Which is to say it's great. You can easily get hundreds of hours out of this game if you play more than once.

Minor complaint I guess: some of the in-game cutscenes/dialogue are a bit long and could use the ability to partially or entirely skip them. I get that the creators wanted to set a certain mood and force the story on you, but this gets particularly old especially if you go for more than one character. There's a mod that lets you skip the opening hour or so and it's a lifesaver.

I'm not sure why I like this game so much, but I find myself playing it frequently in my downtime between other ARPG's. It's pretty easy to just pick up and play for however long, and it can either be a mindless time-passer or you can make it difficult enough that you need to really pay attention. It's just solid.

This game has uniquely awful controls/camera movement. I say uniquely because out of the hundreds of Steam products I own, I can honestly say I've never played a game that made me feel like my hands were smashed with hammers while playing it. I've played other 3rd person action games, I've played Monster Hunter, and I've played other ports; yet I don't know how or why they managed to make this one in particular feel so unplayable. I thought maybe after leaving "town" it would get significantly better, but it doesn't.

That's really enough reason for me not to play it, but it doesn't seem like the game is even good enough in other areas to compensate for this anyway.

What a surprising disappointment. I'm just glad I took advantage of the half-off sale. This game took so much potential and just wasted it. It was decent enough for one play through; like I would have rented this game from Blockbuster for a weekend and that's it.

-You don't really care about your companions and they don't really care about you. Choices don't really matter. Also I feel like you could clear an entire companion's questline in like 30 minutes.
-Looting may have been the worst thing. What is there to find? Three types of ammo, a handful of guns that are basically the same, and then lockpicks and the hacking things.
-What would you even do on a second play through? Sure you could make different decisions regarding the main quest but who cares? There are so few places to explore it's not like you didn't do almost everything the game had to offer in the first 20-something hours it took the beat the entire game.
-It was also criminally easy. All the fights felt the same and you didn't really need to try anything different at any point in the game.

Don't pay more than $15 on this game.

Just get a squad of like 3-4 competent players on Ventrilo or something and farm the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game. Only negative thing I can think to say is that after night 49 or so we ran out of things to do other than grind quests. I get that it becomes more and more difficult, but filling that gap between every 7th night got a bit repetitive once we unlocked pretty much everything. Also the helicopter was lame when we unlocked it. Could be different now though. Also that was after at least 100 hours of value. Worth.

Great game. It's just a better Titan Quest really. I mean, I'll still play Titan Quest though. Don't not play Titan Quest because I said that.

I hated this game when I first played it a year or so ago. I initially found it very irritating that you basically couldn't resurrect teammates unless you also wanted to die. Turns out, the solution is to just not suck and/or die all the time. Just have to think of it like "You really should only have the one life anyway, so bringing a teammate back AT ALL is a privilege."
