Dear Esther is one of those games that's less about "playing" in the traditional sense, and more about experiencing a mood and a story.
The visuals are stunning, and the soundtrack is extremely well done and it really adds to the feeling.
The only thing I didn't like was the moving speed. It's too slow even if it's a walking simulator. But it's an old game so forgiven.

Score: 4.5/5

What do players say after finishing Dear Esther? "Well, that was shorely something 😛"

Damn. What a game! My 1st thought was "how is this game free?".
It doesn't take itself too seriously, and this is one of its strongest points. The game has a distinct sense of humor that resonates with players who appreciate a light-hearted approach to what can often be a very cerebral genre.

What makes "The Looker" enjoyable is that it doesn't demand a huge time commitment.

What do puzzle makers say when they finish making the puzzle?
This is A-maze-ing! 🤣

A narrative-driven game that throws you back into the world of instant messaging, reminiscent of the early 2000s.
It's a nostalgic trip that explores the complexities of online communication and the choices you make shape how the story unfolds.

If you're into games where the story is the main thing, like visual novels, and you've got a soft spot for how we used to talk to each other online back in the day, this one's probably for you.

What did the computer say to its friend? "Want to go out for some bytes?" 😆

A peaceful, short, first-person platformer where you restore a world by doing parkour.
It's relaxing, visually appealing, short, simple and fun.

The game is pretty interesting, with striking visuals and sound, and it's definitely thought-provoking.
Best for players who like short, experimental, and atmospheric games.

Her Story is a very unique game that will turn you into Sherlock and then mess with your head. It tells an interesting crime story through video clips of interviews.

What I liked: The way the game tells the story, not in order, and how you search for clues is very different and fun. The main actress does a great job. The story is broken up, but it's very interesting and makes you want to work hard to understand what's going on. If you're no detective, then brace for understanding nothing or even hating the game.

What I didn't like: The ending could be better. Also, some players might find it boring to just search for clips and watch them.

Who it is for: This game [should be age 16+ or 18+], is perfect for people who like:
Mystery and crime stories
Stories that aren't told in order
Games where the story and characters are more important than how you play
You're a detective and up for a challenge

Score: 4.75/5

I told my friend about Her Story, but he didn't believe me. I guess he needed to see the evidence for himself! 🤣

What I liked:
1. Compelling characters and relationships: The game really shines in its characters, who feel well-developed and relatable. Their interactions draw you in and make you care about what happens to them.

2. Meaningful choices and consequences: I loved how my decisions actually mattered and had a noticeable impact on the story. It really made me think about my choices and a twist.

3. Emotional story: This game isn't afraid to tackle some heavy themes, and it definitely pulls at your heartstrings. The story is both moving and memorable.

4. Notable soundtrack: The music in this game is fantastic. The licensed indie tracks perfectly complement the atmosphere and enhance the emotional impact of the story.

What I didn't like:
1. At times unnatural dialogue: Some of the teen dialogue can feel a bit forced or shocking.

2. Uneven pacing: The game's pacing can be a bit inconsistent. Some sections feel slow and meandering, while others are more engaging.

Who is it for:
Fans of story-focused games with a twist. This game is particularly appealing to players who enjoy narrative-driven experiences with a focus on character development and player choice. If you enjoy games where your decisions matter and you get emotionally invested in the characters, this one's for you

Score:
5/5
