Simple and addictive gameplay with a nice variation to the swarm survivor genre. Wave based with a shop in between with many interesting build options to discover based on the character you pick. Great music.

Would love to see more music and stage designs added to the game!!

I'm a music game veteran and this is another great entry in the key-sounded rhythm games similar to Beatmania and DJ Max. There is a huge library of songs with a diverse set of genres. The menus, presentation, and options are great. There are a lot of old-school rhythm game tracks in here, and some have aged better than others, but overall I'd say the purchase is worth it considering how polished the overall package is, including a wide range of difficulties and fun keycharts.

My biggest recommendation to the developers is to add an option to see and pick from all my favorite songs in a single list.

I also think there can be a lot more creative things done with the Course mode as it's pretty limited at the moment.

Early Access Review
Given this game is in early access, I will not comment on balance nor the amount of content currently available, since these are aspects of the game that obviously evolve significantly over the course of early access period of the game leading into the full release.

I have played every swarm survivor game on the market so far and I have high hopes for this title! I think it's a very well rounded package currently with a lot of potential for expansion. I especially appreciate certain enemies and bosses having telegraphed attack patterns which makes combat more interactive with the dash mechanic. Despite having played many games in the genre, I appreciated I had to learn which skill priorities were important to successfully complete the run.

I do not think the title necessarily brings anything revolutionary to the genre, but it's just another solid entry to the swarm survivor catalog. So if you're like me, and just love the genre and can't get enough of these games, and you find the trailer appealing, I think you'll enjoy adding the game to your library.

This game is an absolute gem! First game I've 100% cleared since I was a child. Nostalgic NES/SNES visuals, great music, lots of Game Guide worthy secrets, and simple and addictive gameplay!

The pacing of the meta progression feels great and experimenting with different builds finding the optimal strategy for your playstyle or character choice is a lot of fun. And when you feel you've found a broken strategy, there are ways to increase the difficulty of the game.

I will be looking forward to more games like this or DLC for this one!

This game felt like a breath of fresh air. Something a little different. Very atmospheric, creative, humorous, charming, awesome story, great graphics and sound, etc... I finished in about 6hrs but didn't find 100% of the "memories." I enjoy shorter format games as long as they feel like a complete experience (e.g. Portal), and I'd say this game delivers.

I don't recommend this game solely from the perspective of the single-player content as a beginner to the fighting game genre. This game has a lot of great things to offer, especially if you're a fighting game veteran -- but if you're new to the genre there are better places to start.

Fighting game devs: please start including more robust ways for new fighting game players to learn your games... it's too overwhelming. I'm not asking to make the game simpler or easier -- I love the variety and options this game seems to have; but for goodness sake just include content that assists you in learning instead of leaving it to the player to figuring out and practicing everything on their own (like allow me to display and cycle thru special moves instead of having to constantly open and close command list). Basically game-ify practice and training modes. Mini-games, katas, more trials (not just for combos but practicing scenarios)... Help user pick their characters and teach what each character is about at the same time.

$80 for content basically more akin to an arcade port in 2022 is kind of unacceptable especially for a game with as much legacy as KoF.

One of the best single player games I've played in a while. Great cinematic experience with a memorable story and characters you care about. Audio and visuals are top notch. Engaging combat and immersive semi-linear world. If you love Star Wars then you'll definitely love this game. If you don't love Star Wars, then you'll still probably enjoy this game.

My only major criticism is the random stuttering that occurs throughout the entire game. It doesn't appear to be a computer spec issue but more of a design flaw. It doesn't happen super frequently but it's immersion breaking when it occurs.

Hoping there will be a sequel.
