Listen up, folks! I snagged Gladius when it was free, but let me tell you, I was already eyeing it up. I grew up loving games like Starcraft, Age of Empires, and Heroes of Might and Magic - those kinds of games where you just spend hours building up your city and army, getting rich, and gathering resources. It's hella satisfying.

But don't let the chill vibe fool you, Gladius can be a tough cookie. The tutorial was a breeze, but I always take risks and go for a big army over a stable economy (badass, I know). Now I'm playing as Astra Militarum and it's a whole new ballgame. The basic guardsmen suck, but it's wicked fun.

So if you're on the lookout for a casual strategy game with Warhammer 40K factions, Gladius is it. Sure, there's a ton of DLC out there, but I didn't even look at it. Though if you're looking to enhance your gameplay, I'm sure there's a bunch of fun to be had. Personally, I'm content just playing with the base game- recruiting new heroes and troops gets me hyped enough. Imperium at your disposal, my friends!

I enjoyed being a cute veg and wrecking some havoc. Would totally recommend playing it, especially when you're bored of your usual comfort games, but still want something exciting, although not a 40+ hour game.

Procrastination at work can be a difficult thing... Enjoy it with I commissioned some bees 0!!!

Found all the bees and the bits and bobs, enjoyed the buzzing of the little fellows and felt happy for Steam achievements! Plus, the artwork in this little game is truly cute and wholesome.

It's the most relaxing bee find, definitely recommend it!

YAY

  • Warhammer 40k dark and scary vibes
  • OP and hellishly fun classes
  • Mind-blowing (it's a Psyker pun haha) OST
  • Customizable characters
  • Astonishing maps, I mean, have you ever looked up?!
  • Witty and wholesome banter (well, sometimes the opposite, Zealots and Veterans are such bullies)
  • Playing Psyker gives you a slight schizophrenia, but it's all fun and part of RP

NAY

  • Stop whining and play the game

It's time for a review reboot! This game is the real deal. If you're a fan of Vermintide 1 and 2 or Deep Rock Galactic, you've gotta give Darktide a try. Sure, the higher difficulties may seem intimidating at first, but trust me, once your mind and body sync up, you'll be left hungry for more intense fire fights. This game is constantly improving and upgrading, with new maps, conditions, and a cool system for forging tools of war. As a player with 400+ hours of game time, I'm always hyped for premium purchasable cosmetics. And don't even get me started about the character customisation options...they're seriously next level!
So, if you're ready to dive into a world of epic slaughter, join us in Darktide. With mind-blowing map designs and adrenaline-packed battles, it's the perfect balance of fun and challenging. It can go from a leisurely stroll to praying to the Emperor that you don't get blindsided by a hound or trapper while trying to rescue your teammates. Just one thing - hey veterans, enough with the ammo hogging already!

Sincerely,
Your Psyker and The Beloved

Pros:
- many weapons to choose from, can customise them to your liking
- make your unique customised soldier/insurgent
- fast paced game, it won't be boring
- challenging bots
- different types of gameplay
- funny banter (characters have a handful of phrases they say)
- fun and challenging at the same time

Cons:
- everything in the character menu costs 800-1000 coins, therefore it takes long time to get your desired soldier look
- walls and cover are not necessary there to protect you
- AI can see in the dark and in the smoke, but you obviously can't
- need more options to customise your character (different voices, more faces, more female options)
- sometimes bots eat 3-4 bullets and aren't there to go down
- you have to be used to players: a) not covering your back/left/right even though they are there to cover that side b) not being on the point to protect it c) walking in front of you, while you're firing at the enemy

TL;DR It's a fast paced FPS game with probably the most advanced bots out there. Stop gagglef***ing, grab your gun, design your soldier and chop chop (yalla yalla)!

At first DD seems difficult and disheartening, it's too simple to lose characters to reckless decisions, but perseverance is a key. With every dungeon your characters shape and gain very human traits. Sometimes it's about pride, selfishness, gold, but mostly it's about survival. Once you crack this tough nut it becomes impossible to stop playing it. One can always improve, right? However one should remind self that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
