Grid 2 has changed my outlook on life, it sure is not just a racing game. It's hard to learn to drive when starting to play Grid 2, so ambition is needed to get better with each race. Now I understand the boxers' slow motion view because the same thing happens with every Grid 2 player who can drift. It's impossible to describe in words how it feels to do a drift but it's possible to feel the car in slow motion sliding through a difficult curve. Even though it's a difficult art, it's therapeutic to drift in Grid 2.

The fate of the podium of each race depends only on you, if a car hit you it was only your fault and no one else's as well as life's problems. Grid 2 teaches us to get behind the wheel and fight for what we want alone in a car, no one around can help us win a race where everyone wants to win. We must be strong every second and not miss a corner because the slightest mistake can cause our defeat. In view of this, we learned not to interfere with anyone's race in order to win ours.
Analogously, our life is our race.

The ambience of racing at night after several hours of playing Grid 2 can change over time giving a more melancholy and dark aesthetic causing a strange feeling when playing offline against the car AI. To get to that moment in the game, it takes a lot of time running and unfortunately it's not hard to tell when the time comes. Races will get easier and it will be easy to win them all by playing against the hardest AI cars. Consequently, the challenge of each race will no longer exist and this melancholy ambience can remain for a long time in the game in a status quo being difficult to get out of it.
Unfortunately, Grid 2's multiplayer is dying. The day will come when there will be no more players in the online mode, leaving only the offline races, we know that Grid 2 will never become a big game with several players in multiplayer, his fate is to perish alone because Steam has put him in a limbo where no one else more can buy the game. Every player who loves to drift will play alone for the rest of his life, further favoring the melancholy ambience of the game and unfortunately the AI is limited, in a short time there will be no more challenges for good players.

We will be alone with no more ambition to become better and that is extremely dangerous. The false fallacy that our challenge is others is a misconception, there is only one true and only opponent in Grid 2 and that opponent is yourself. It is necessary to keep training to beat yourself in Grid 2, this is the purpose of the game and this is the purpose of life! We can always go further against ourselves.

After all, I feel honored to have played Grid 2. I leave here my eternal thanks for changing my life.

Thanks, Grid 2.
