I’ve finished the game, and while it has its flaws, many of the issues people have pointed out seem exaggerated or taken out of contex. Safi is the most interesting character, hands down. Max has his ups and downs, while Amanda works fine as a romance option, on the other hand, I just couldn’t stand Vinh. It’s definitely not the best game in the series, but it’s still a genuinely good game.

The powers are fantastic, and the graphics are solid. The storytelling could have been a bit better, but despite everything, I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, it’s clear they rushed the game. I also don’t quite understand the bland design of the achievements, especially when even True Colors (which I adore) maintained its visual style.

The music is one of the best so far (though the first Life is Strange still holds the top spot for me). The pacing is a bit too fast, and I wish they’d taken an extra six months to refine everything. The optimization is awful, and some plotlines could have been expanded.

Honestly, it’s such a shame that Safi isn’t a romance option, as her dynamic with Max is incredible. Plus, Safi completely stole my heart from the very beginning.
