Really cool concept, very poor balancing. Its impossible in arena to play around with different builds because every team feels like a high rolled team. It really doesn't seem like you face anything not optimized and full tempo even on your last life. Hopefully they put out a balance patch soon before this gets buried in my games folder and forgotten. Also I have no problems with swearing but some of the cut-scenes felt like a completely different tone to anything else in the game. Very strange choice.

This game was amazing at launch. It has an amazing loop and it took me hundreds of hours to unlock everything. It was great to come home after a long day and crush hoards of enemies and it felt very rewarding to learn the mechanics and move on to higher and higher difficulties. Over that time it has become clear that the developers had a different game in mind and are scrambling to make it work for their players. The 60 Day Plan patches were a massive step in the right direction for correcting the horrendous balance decisions since launch and I hope that they keep it up and get things sorted out but it still very much feels like the game has an identity crisis right now. The game has more enemies on screen at max difficulties than some hoard shooters and rogue lites I've played but even with the buffs the weapons feel like they are balanced for a fps with linear levels. The game is absolutely playable and if you like a challenge or have a group to play with on mic it gets even better. A lot of people seem perfectly satisfied with the state its in now but I personally miss how it felt early on.
