This game has such a fun and chill vaporwave aesthetic. The puzzles require both a mix of mechanical skill and quick thinking, that kept me and a few friends enthralled for hours into the night. The images are ok, but honestly the big draw for me is the puzzles and atmosphere.

9/10 super fun!

A masterclass in using culture war ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to market a mid product.

I played this game 5 years ago, it was fun enough, no real depth, just pump a guy till he's strong enough to teleport around the screen vaporizing everyone. I hear the game has gotten more P2W and I'm not really feeling like playing a watered down version of what I played before.

The dev is clearly using this game as a soapbox to air personal opinions that he thinks will turn him into a martyr. The fact that his update posts have blown up and are encouraging people just to buy it to recommend it or not is proof that it's working. Don't fall for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid marketing ploy, let folks who bought the game years ago and left it gathering dust piss at each other in the reviews. Go buy some lootboxes, snacks or gas or some ♥♥♥♥, not this ♥♥♥♥.

I got to live out my dream of seeing a crossover between my two favorite things: Frog Fractions, and the Emeryville IKEA.

I can die happy.

I had a lot of fun with making spells. I think this is a game for tinkerers and achievement hunters because you'll have to take your time inventing new spells to try and beat challenges and fill out the framework that is achievements.

I waited over 5 years for this game and my only criticism is I am unable to play it forever.

While I have been having fun with it, I don't think I can recommend this DLC. It fundimentally changes the way the game is played and not in a way that is a match with the game I fell in love with.

I think what many long-term players enjoyed about the game previously was that it played more like a puzzle game. You learned the items, the mechanics, fun synergies, powerful synergies. The goal of the game was less to become skilled in combat, but more knowing what to take when and where. Ed did not like that, he did not like the way people played the game. He decided that it needed to be a game of pure skill. So he nerfed ANYTHING considered good by skilled players, and mildly buffed some F-tier items.

One of the pre-game interviews he said that he wanted there to be a lot more nail-biting moments. I mean he succeeded, you can bite your nails going into a 10 minute long marathon boss-fight with mediocre stats and get ♥♥♥♥ on.
What does this mean? it means that 95% of the time you end up pumping low-powered tears into a bullet-sponge boss with obscene amounts of HP to your 4 measly hearts. There is no reward for mastering knowledge of the game. Game breaks are now so rare and hard to achieve that it no longer feels like a reward for mastery and you just got blessed with a win by random luck.

This would have been the ultimate finale DLC without all the stupid pointless balance changes for Ed's ego.

If you like the walkback portion of dark souls, buy this DLC
If you liked any past versions of the Binding of Isaac, don't (at least not until there are some fixes)

You are in the reviews because you were questioning you might like the game.

If you are wondering if you will like it, I know you will like it. Buy the game.
