Early Access Review
"Savior, Hero? No, no, I'm with the Science Team!"

Pros:
- Choose your playstyle, from Brawler to Builder, Crafter to Cook and more, you're bound to find something that you enjoy.
> Specialise in co-op, or try a little bit of everything by yourself!
- Unrestricted base building, create your cosiest nerd cave anywhere. Even on an alien island if you'd like!
- Progress in a huge main map where you unlock shortcuts and portals to other places
- Chock-full of content even in Early Access.
- Great atmosphere across all different worlds
- Fun universe that borrows from some of the best, Half-Life of course, but also SCP?
- Solid amount of Quality of Life.
- So much love went into this game, it's hard to put into words, but it's so charming.

Cons:
- Crafting and unlocking recipes can be a little convoluted at times.
- While you can definitely play solo, the game is thought-out to be multiplayer and it shows at times.

In a saturated genre devoid of passion, the pure charm of Abiotic Factor is a breath of fresh air.
Take notes, survival games, THIS is how you do it.

Shape up and load up, there's Crows to kill.

Pros :
- Simple yet very good gameplay loop.
> Survive, kill, die, upgrade and repeat.
- Multitude of options to unlock to tailor your loadout.
- Mutators keep the game fresh for way longer.
- Even bosses die in one direct shot, no one lives forever here.
- The sound design is great.
> Good music, guns are snappy and enemies all have different sound cues, louder for more important foes.
- Great pixel art
- Great atmosphere

Cons :
- As expected of the genre, the game is very tense and challenging.
- Pretty short playtime

While overall pretty simple, Kill The Crows is very well made.
A great reminder that games don't have to be long and fancy to be great.
For this price, I'll happily spend the few bucks and let the shootout begin!

Early Access Review
Not ready for an Early Access release yet, especially at this price.

- Server issues and lag
- Lackluster and floaty combat
- Enemies feel too tanky and respawn real fast.
- Invisible walls and small similar issues with the map
- Boring loot

It needs more time, a lot more time in the oven

(My actual play time is around 12 hours as of writing this review)

As someone who has first-hand experience with disability, I was really sceptical of this game, wondering if they "got it right".

And boy, they sure did.

Pros:
- Interesting characters, I was interested in character developments, even for characters that I didn't like much.
- I was taken aback by the authenticity of the writing. It feels very natural and flows well.
- The feels! From laughter to sadness, I went trough all kinds of emotions.
- With really similar situations, I related to Olivia a lot, her conflicting feelings, her struggles tied to her handicap. There's no doubt in my mind that the person writing is very aware of disability, the good, the bad, the ugly. And it shows.
- A true slice of life, where the kind-of-boring setting is made interesting by all the characters and feelings around it.
- Very nice music, discrete and mesured, that would match the scenes well.
- The pacing is very good. Slowing down and fast forwarding at just the right time.

Cons:
- Inco, the main character, is a bit uncanny.
> He's supposed to be kind of a blank slate character, but he has enough personal traits to be his own character, so he falls in kind of a weird middle ground.
Not enough traits to be it's own character, but too many for the player to properly insert themselves in the story.
- The beginning was a bit slow, but I'm glad that I kept going.
- Some key/important moments could use more art, but that's subjective.

I feel like the fact that I played the full game, reached an ending(n°3),
played again to reach another ending, and interrupted my run to write this review,
before buying it, -full price on purpose-, is the biggest praise I can give this game.

Well done, Cavemanon, you deserve the money.

Trapped in the middle of a seemingly eternal war, you are a civilian out of your depth.
You MUST scavenge or die trying.
In this, you are not THE guy, you are A guy.

Pros:
- Amazing grim dark world and atmosphere, rarely seen. I can't praise it enough with a single line.
- Great looking maps that make you take a step back and admire, or recoil in horror.
- Unique gameplay, were you are the bystander in a huge war, you must sit back, assess your situation and take chances when the time is right.
- While you might be able to unlock powerful weapons and lots of ammo, you will always second guess every shot
> Every single gunshot could ring the dinner bell for you.
- The gameplay loop is very solid and enjoyable, get in, assess the risks, loot, extract, upgrade, repeat.
- Very good music and sound.

Cons:
- The water mechanic. You have a REAL-LIFE timer ticking down before your inventory is wiped.
> While it isn't too bad to deal with (One extract with one water means a full IRL day of water) having a timer ticking down when you're not playing is a terrible, terrible concept, especially if you don't have time to play.
- The game is (for now) very rough around the edges.
> Missing animations, bugs, hitbox issues etc...
- A.I. is very unpredictable at times making decision-making very hard.
> Some enemies lack sound cues wich can be extremely unforgiving at times.
- Enemy spawn is all over the place, oftentimes in view, sometimes really close to you.

A masterclass of atmosphere, trapped in early access for now.
This game is an ABSOLUTE GEM that is held back by it's current state of development.

If you can stomach the jank, the ugly and the sometimes very unfair nature of EA, you might be in for a fantastic time.
Otherwise, loop back in months or even a year.

A scary-looking deckbuilding game that has a lot more going on than you would think!

Pros :
- Amazing atmosphere, from looks to sounds, everything is perfectly executed.
- Great gameplay, well thought out, that encourages experimentation.
> You can boost and combine cards to make them powerful, suiting your own playstyle.
- Game switches up a lot as you go through the different Parts/Acts
- Great retro looking graphics.
- Great OST, high quality and atmospheric, fitting the game's graphics perfectly
- Good story
- Pretty long, took me about ~20 hours going kinda slow.

Cons :
- Difficulty is a bit all over the place, as Part/Act 1 is the most difficult.
> I can imagine that a lot of people stopped playing before Part/Act 2, if you aren't a fan of roguelikes but like the rest of the game, keep going!
- You will lose progress while switching Parts/Acts, forcing you to spend not TOO much time building your deck.
- Parts/Acts play differently from one to another, while it can be a deterrent at first, when you beat the game you can go back to any Part/Act and replay them again.
- Sorry roguelike fans, you cannot beat this one without dying at all.

This game is a straight-up masterpiece, it is a CRIME that I took this long to play it.
I cannot recommend it enough.

They had to nerf Luis, his theme was making him too powerful.

Does the 10 year old masterpiece still hold up after all this time?
Yes but it's complicated.

Pros :
- An amazing story that's worth experiencing at least once in your lifetime.
- Great combat, ammo is limited but guns pack a punch, headshots kill, melee uses your positioning and environement very well.
- Really atmospheric.
- Magnificent soundtrack.
- Progression trough unlocking new weapons and upgrading them.
- While I was originally sceptic of the remaster, the new graphics help this game shine even brighter.
- The extra unlockables like skins and cheats are very welcome.

Cons :
- An absolute joke of a PC port, riddled with performance issues, really smothering this game.
- Default controls are questionnable on keyboard, rebind your keys.
- The game is fairly linear and exploration is pretty limited.

It is still a pure gem of a game, left in an baffling state by its shoddy port.
While I have no doubts that it will be fixed with updates, right now I don't think you can run it without a beast of a PC.

A straight upgrade from the original game.
More content and tools, better graphics.
No performances issues at all on my end, running smoothly on Ultra.

Although it does seem like the game isn't as polished as the original.
A couple bugs there, less interactivity on some new maps...

With a couple updates it'll be the best Saints and Sinners experience.
