Ninjago and NEXO Knights for free + lots of other neat themes.

Awesome additions to the core game.

The first Dark Souls remains the better game but visually this does more than enough to compenate for me.

Great selection of new vehicles and characters. The spooky mansions are -the- best buildings I've seen in LEGO Worlds so far, for any builder it's vey rewarding to just disassemble them to uncover all the tricks that were used and apply it in your own constructions.

For parents concerned whether it's suitable for their kids, I don't think the Monsters Pack includes any content 'scarrier' than what's in the base game. If anything helping out the monsters with their frivolous chores robs them a bit of their monster status and reveals them as regular individuals with their own little problems. Instead of chills down your spine it's more like chuckles in your belly.

I didn't really know anything about Ninjago until the movie appeared on my radar, so by no means should the game be considered to be just for Ninjago fans, it improves the tried-and-true LEGO game formula considerably on every front, as far as LEGO games go it's very ambitious on innovating which you wouldn't really expect from a movie tie-in game especially because it succeeds to improve.

Platforming is more flowing, character progression and ability unlocks is engaging, combat adds a reward for good execution in world and in challenge dojos, tying the combo meter to stud multiplier for example should become a standard in all future LEGO games. Visuals do a better job than ever before making the world feel like LEGO even in the natural environments because for the first time plants, rocks and textures match their real-life scale and are not oddly miniaturized. The overall presentation is brilliant, from the micro-built world map you use to travel between areas to the blind bags revealing discovered minifigures.

Like in LEGO Dimensions the Battle Arenas are great fun for local multiplayer and allows even the youngest players to participate.

To complete everything it's one of the shorter LEGO games but it's definitely a case of quality over quantity and doesn't stretch content. I had no technical issues whatsoever.

The universe is a vast playground, it would be silly to limit exploration to habitable planets.

You probably played GTA and perhaps at some point you thought they should make a LEGO version. This is not exactly that and I don't want give false expectations, but it's as close as it will get in a very long while.

The vehicle system is the best I've seen in any LEGO game, driving around in the urban locations is so enjoyable I often skip the fast travel. Much of the main story line takes place in levels separate from the open world city but the the city itself is chuck-full with collectibles and quests. If you end up liking the game this is where most of your time will be spent.

Of all the LEGO Games without building this is one my favorites. My main complaint is on the visuals, the environments are non-LEGO. Some prefer this, I don't but what is there more than makes up for it.

The best LEGO game ever made.

If you ever played with bricks and wished you could run around inside your own creations then this is a game you absolutely have to try. Even if you don't end up building much yourself simply playing as a minifigure inside a world consisting entirely of buildable bricks is something special.

Most other LEGO games treat bricks and building in itself as a purely cosmetic element, in LEGO Worlds it's the foundation of everything.

I was attracted to Firewatch for its visuals and it totally delivers in that department but the story and the unique way it's told is clearyly the reason this world was created. Firewatch dares to give the player breathing space, the time to think about what is happening and what it could mean, no doubt very deliberate to build tension and craving through anticipation.

Like a good movie it lingers in the back of your mind long after the credits rolled, this is when hidden meanings can surface which may just be personal projections but simply evoking that response counts as a major success to me.

Atmosphere, authentic design and nerve cutting tension is what I always wanted from an Alien game and Isolation delivered that beyond my most optimistic hopes. On first sight one could point out some shortcomings but I would argue that adressing them would directly diminish those 3 primary elements so I'm glad Creative Assembly was brave enough to focus on getting the essentials right.

A must play if you love Alien (1979) and can stomach horror games.
