My friends buzzed my brains out about this game a month before release. They said that it was the game of the year and that in general such games are released once a decade. I hadn't heard anything about the series before at all, but naturally I had to pick up this game to prove that I'm not a sucker and I'm not subject to herd instinct, but I make my own decisions. Besides, if it's the game of the year, then it should have all the elements of the games of the year - stealth in the bushes, movie more than gameplay, Sony or Nintendo logo at launch and cinematic 30 fps, that is what I love. And what did I get as a result?
