Sometimes pain leads to nothing. It does not always end on a good note. You obsess over the idea of receiving the light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes pain exists just to make you feel things. Fear, jealousy, hatred, anxiety.
"What if all this pain isn't worth it in the end?".
That is a possibility. Maybe it will quietly bid farewell one day when you're asleep.
Your pain is never ending because you try to keep making it purposeful. Sometimes it is just an inconclusive story.
