What an adventure! I can't really remember the last time the game made me completely lose a track of time!
Definitely waiting for the DLC!

I've just finished the game with over 80h on steam and 70h in game(save data).

Definitely top2 Assasin's Creed, while top1 to me is Odyssey.

If you liked Origins & Odyssey,(I personally didn't like Valhalla) then you're definitely gonna love Shadows.

I played on Immersive Mode, Expert Stealth/Combat and around 130fps on 4070Ti & 13600k on Ultra with the highest ray tracing.

To any person - I will always recommend the 'Immersive Mode'.
It's WAY better, the acting is way more emotional and every scene feels like a new interpretation in compare to the original eng dub, which I think is lacking.

I also think the best AI experience can be served by playing on expert difficulty for expert/combat.
Ignore youtube grifters making videos about this game on the lowest possible difficulty, where ai tends to behave like a bunch of apes from games made for 6yo kids.

The game looks absolutely beautiful and the graphics of nature/weather/seasons are unmatched.
Can't say how many times I had to stop running to make a few screens, because I was so charmed.

As for this day, it's definitely the most beautiful game I've played.

The storyline is pretty similar to any previous AC game - A story about revenge and special 'artefacts'.
If you liked previous story, then you're definitely not gonna mind the current one, but If you're a person who didn't like it in the past, then you're most likely not gonna like it this time.

I feel like the vanilla version is really a preparation for the bigger expansion, because there's a lot of untold stories.

Naoe & Yasuke are both insanely likeable and understandable when it comes to their choices.

Naoe is the main assasin, while Yasuke is her partner in crime.
She's definitely the smallest protagonist we've ever had and also the most deadly and agile.
I had a lot of fun playing as her, even tho she's not as charismatic as Ezio, Edward, Arno or Bayek.
Ig it's just the vision of showing the story in that period, where people were a bit more introverted.(my PoV)

Ubisoft's interpretation of Yasuke as a samurai based on a really small portion of historical information is actually written interesting way and It feels like their vision is consistent with confirmed historical facts about him and emphasizes Yasuke's good upbringing and humility

Side characters are likeable and memorable, #junjiro_is_the_goat

The open world is beautiful, alive and there's a lot of stuff to do.(tho, two activities like meditation and weapon training are repetitive over time), unlike in the most compared game to Shadows - GoT, where the world was just beautiful thanks to the grass & folliage, insanely empty, copy pasted with pretty much 0 stuff to do, outside for the main campaign, killing a single group of bandits and some lazy quests for side characters.

Worth mentioning - side quests and activities in Shadows are much better condensed than in previous games in the series, so the player does not feel overwhelmed.

Audio is as always - unmatched in Ubisoft games.
Beautiful soundtrack, matching the atmosphere of the game.
I really like the one during stealth, when there's a calm music with Naoe's whispers.

I'm not the target of such changes, but the overall accessibility for people who prefere different control presents or have been dealing with different disabilities - it's just impressive and I feel like it deserves a note, because not many people talk about it, not many developers take care of it, but many people might benefit from it.

To me it's definitely 8/10 game, while being +10/10(GOD TIER) graphics/audio wise.

At the moment of writing this review, it's been a week since the game released and well... there are bugs.

Sometimes a random cat gets stuck on the wall, some very specific bandits in very specific locations require 3x stealth assasinations to get killed, audio did get delayed a few times and well - there are very typical Assasin's Creed's movement inaccuracies that every fan of series has known ever since the game was released.

I do really believe tho such a small stuff would get fixed asap as I remember the release day of Mirage and it got fixed,

The part that I'm not completely a fan of is the combat.
It's no different than any other AC:RPG game or let's say Witcher3, or even Elden Ring(except for difficulty ofc), but in this game - If you have some upgrades to your weapon like bleeding/poison then well... an enemy isn't gonna do much against you, because of being stuned or in a 'vulnerable' state, so in late game the game becomes too easy.

If you liked the combat from Witcher3 or let's say Origins/Valhalla/Odyssey then you're gonna be fine.
Tho, I'm aware many people would expect something different and it'd be a deal breaker for them.

I completely do not recommend listening to the opinions of haters, grifters or people trying to push stupid agendas on everything, while also totally changing the marketing words of Ubisoft and sharing fake articles's titles to gather some views thanks to the questionable state of company and their bigger/lesser bloopers.

The game is literally one of the best Ubisoft has made in recent years and it's definitely one of the strongest Assasin's Creed games in a series.

If you can't wait and can afford it for the full price - Get it right now.
If you can't afford it right now, get it on Ubisoft Connect with 20% off with tokens.
If you want to wait, definitely get it on a discount.

I bought the Deluxe Edition and with over 80h of playtime, I made my money absolutely worth it.
I know I will be playing it from time to time to finish some additional content that I haven't finished yet, lol.
I got at least +10h left of stuff to do.

Once again - I can't remember the last time a game made me lost a track of time.

Finally - W game Ubisoft.

All of the money was put into the graphics, which is absolutely beautiful.

Rest is pretty much simple:
- Stealth based on just a few animations
- Combat is based on a couple of styles, which is boring and requires you to change it based on the enemy. Cool idea, boring execution.
- The open world is empty, there's nothing to do, except for casual fighting with scouting enemies.

Whoever claims the game is 10/10 - deserves to be called a delusional person.
Usually the same people who hate Assasin's Creed - praise GoT, which is either a delusion or being a pure definition of hater.

It's not a bad game, but amount of emptiness, simplicity and over-repeated missions pattern is just not enjoyable.
Main story is actually cool and interesting, I enjoyed it, despite how linear it is.

To me it's 6/10, while +1 comes just for the graphics and main story.

If you played Aragami 2 - You know what I'm talking about when it comes to repetition of the content.

Buy only If it's heavily discounted. Doesn't deserve full price.

Absolutely top game in its genre in a pair with Hollow Knight.
Masterpiece, even If you do not enjoy this type of games - You're gonna love it.
If I bought it for the full price, I wouldn't regret a single penny.

'Shadow of Rose' is WAY BETTER than Resident Evil 3 Remake, period. (This DLC can be finished within 2-4 hours, same as RE3RE).
If you can buy it on sale or as a part of Golden Edition - DO IT!!!

Really interesting puzzles, Rose is likeable and overall it makes the story of the 'Village' feel more finished.

The worst final boss design ever.
Like... why? Why would you do that? It's just a time consuming sponge that has 5 phases instead of one that's actually interesting and deserves being called a 'final boss'.

It took me around 95-98h and 20 days to reach 1322 ilvl from lvl1.
Worth mentioning - It'd take me MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH LONGER If not an event.

Game is overall pretty good, but it becomes more grindy, grindy and grindy to the point every single aspect of this game wants you to be grinded. If you can't afford playing at least 6h/day to farm silver, gold, t3 mats, skill points, adventure tomes, abyssal dungeons, chaos, guardians, take care of multiple alts and tons of other stuff then well... this game is not for you.

The reason I quit at 1322 Ilvl is pretty simple - I have no time to play.
1100 -> 1322 required me to spent 1m of just silver.

A chance of sucesfull honing highly decreases every '+' to the point you gotta fail an upgrade 6 times in order to get 100% bonus.
The game is just designed the way so you either spent money or it or just grind till you die.

Lost Ark has to become your main game in order to progress.

What's also worth saying - during 95-98h of playing, I didn't really play with other players.
It's called 'mmorpg', but in reality it actually isn't.

Coordinated group helps at high ilvl dungeons, but you can do it with randoms that just know tactics and have proper gear.

Majority of time it's just playing alone.

There's only one hope for this game and it's called - REFUND.

Current state of the game is TRAGIC.
Every single step there's tons of bugs, cut scenes = no lip movement, npcs spawn weird way.

Optimization? Ain't exist.
Recommended specs? Far away from truth.

Night City? Looks really cool, BUT SADLY - It's nothing similar to GTA5 in terms of making you spent hours just exploring it and 'experiencing'. The city without side quests and main story line DOES NOT exist. The value of playing this game more than one time is close to 0.
The only one difference between lifepaths = different prologue and that's it.

Please, avoid this mess.

I highly recommend buying it in 2 years when there's a GOTY edition on a sale for max 15-20 bucks.

Sorry CDPR - You've lost one customer.
I will never ever preorder from you. It's literally my first preorder ever that I refund.

And how long you've been hyping this game? 8 years ago = first trailer.
And last 4.5 y = all about Cyberpunk.

Sorry, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and I didn't even have expectations, because I've never been a fan of such a 'cyberpunk' atmosphere.
Even NoMan's Sky and 'AC Unity' releases ain't been that terrible.

Very good game, but definitely too short!
You can easily finish this game within 2 hours, but If it's your first time, It's gonna be 4-6h

I'm changing my review after a few years of negattive one.

As for the 29.12.2023 PUBG is in it's best state when it comes to content/bugs/cheaters, and I've been playing this game with breaks ever since it was released(2017).

What's worth mentioning - I'm speaking about the experience of EU FPP player.
NA/OCE has WAY worse experience due to longer queue times, some modes being close to non existing due to lack of playerbase etc.

I highly recommend this game under one of two conditions:
1. You like playing solo
2. You have people to play duo/squads with

Otherwise - I wouldn't play it at all.

The game really shines If you have a full squad of people to play with.

There are cheaters(thanks to f2p model...), but they're constantly being banned.
It's way better than in early/late 2022 or early 2023.

Rondo is an amazing map and it's early roadmap(till February 2024) looks really promising.

I wish the Devs would also listen to EU/NA community and their feedback, not only Asian. I personally wish the game would have more 'camo like' type of skins rather than a bear/panda/toy/pink madmanlike skins.
Tho, I can't really complain as I have a huge amount of skins, lol.

Playerbase is pretty loyal, full of veterans that know what they do so newbies will most likely get wiped pretty fast, but well... the game is just enjoyable and offers emotions no other game has.
