The game starts off with one of the most incredible hooks of all time. A brilliant and intriguing story presents itself and you're thrust into a refreshing parry-turn based combat system reminiscent of HSR or the trails series.
The game rewards you for skill expression, and if its too hard for you? You can just turn down the difficulty slider.

The music is amazing; on par with nier automata's musical tracks it elevates the mood and sets the tone for the entire game. making it a magical fantasty experience.

The game has interesting NPCs and mostly excellent dialogue.
There is poor audio lipsync outside of the mocapped cinematics but that can be overlooked because the game is quite frankly overall excellent.

Easily a top 5 RPG of all time, and likely a contender for GOTY.

Started at: lvl 110 on a new playthru just to play the DLC fresh.

Getting ♥♥♥♥ on every second of my day. I don't need for there to be reactive counter play inputs like sekiro, I enjoy getting two shot and learning the move set properly so I can get my small hits in the tiny counter play windows.

If you are beating bosses such that (In base game):
1. You are doing cheese amounts of damage that they have minimal windows to punish you (phase change)
2. In the DLC, you can no longer do #1 and you actually get punished for doing the wrong thing.
This game is probably not for you.

///////// Some other general opinions:
- Wish there was a blacksmith for the DLC version instead of having to come back to the other map.
- a DLC whose entry requirement is approximately 85% into the base game is justified in being difficult it's end game content I don't know what people expected, bosses get harder and harder the further you go, and frankly I don't think there's a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bosses in the dlc. Just people who wish they didn't get two shot, which to be fair, leveling vigor in base game did make you feel tankier, but in this game the fragments are what truly helps as you'll feel really squishy with any amount of vigor.

Ridiculous amounts of punish, very much enjoying its difficulty, Learn the combos properly and play into them (some aren't even prediction they're just attack strings like fire boy).

- Performance (I know its different for every PC, i've had no issues running on a 3 year old right with a 3070) Running on NVidia V 555.99

///////// Bad Things:
- Dragon Fights are still the same as base game (save for Bayle), Wish there was more variation, once you've learned on you've learned them all.
- Some awful camera angles, such as lion dancer or hippo I found myself having to unlock the camera for some bosses.
Some boss attack telegraphs are really poor. Fire boy had some great ones where the speed of the attack visually became faster or slower until it reached the attack frame. Scudtree Avatar's AoE thorns have a really poor telegraph, the ground becomes yellow with a spell "noise" and then the thorns just sorta come out and you have to memorize the timing for it and i'm sure there's others as well.

This is my first ever serious fighting game. I hate king, sometimes dragunov, i hate reina, i also hate lili, i can't read her. 10/10 would recommend getting your ass beat. What a fun experience

As of the patch for season 2. One of the best games on one of the worst balance patches for any online game I have ever played in all of the games I have ever played.
How do you do PR that says you're going towards a more defensive patch, only to release the most offensive leaning patch ever?

Keep seeing stuff like we don't have the stats etc, we don't see the full picture cause we're just the end user. Sure i'll completely agree with that, but that's digging your own grave. 30 Years of tekken balance + a full dashboard of stats and metrics and still a failure of a patch is so bad it's incredible. You had every bit of information to create a good decision and still somehow managed this.

Epic

Really fun gun play compared to val (I like both) but csgo's gunplay is better. However the game stutters (not even on max settings) and I have a very recent computer, also running a 3070. Optimisation in this game is utter dog. Sometimes I just change a simple graphics setting and the entire game restarts like mbbruhmius what.

Really enjoyed the base game.
Story was a casual sad read.
I got the two DLCs as well, I hope they get translated to english in the future!

It will say that I only spent 10 minutes on this game total but I actually spent around 3 hours or so (It was all done in offline mode). I also played this game only on the steam-deck.

Game was overall very enjoyable, with the addition of the encyclopedia this game makes a great entry point into the fault series and is playable even before Milestone 1 and Two Side Above.

Game runs smoothly for the most part, Live2d is pleasant, UI is easy and simple to use. One thing to note is that the resolution for the steamdeck is 1280x800 and the game is in an aspect ratio of 16:9 so you have to change the resolution from Full Screen to Windowed mode to make it fit the steamdeck.

Runs at a pleasant fps through most of the game except when it loads Live2D models too fast in succession which to my knowledge only happens one near the end of the game.

Game's plot and dialogue are lighthearted compared to the series's normal plot but its very engaging and enjoyable especially if you are able to relate to the mc's soul finding problems.

Music is also ambient and enjoyable.
Overall the game is a good recommend especially to people new to this series. The game also has my usable check for the steamdeck!
