Managed to beat it with a friend (using only 2 characters total)... on the fourth attempt... on normal difficulty. I personally love hardcore games, and this was a challenge for me and my buddy. Hours and hours wasted planning and strategizing on each and every move and in almost every single battle, just to get clapped and have the save auto-delete itself. TBH our decision to roll with only 2 characters vs. the 3 available definitely hindered us.
But, on the 4th attempt, with over 50 hours in a game that only takes about 10 hrs to beat (at least regarding the For the King gamemode), we FINALLY managed to beat it, only to be welcomed with a -- well, what I would call an "interesting" ending -- no spoilers.
This game is extremely addicting, especially in one sititng and when playing with a close friend.

For newbies:
- Try to get at least 2 other buddies to play with you (3 player coop, with a competitive gamemode)
- Play on easiest difficulty first time just to get hang of game
- Choose characters wisely (try to make them compliment each other)
- Choose decisions wisely; mistakes can be HEAVILY punished (especially late game)
- Price of items scale... like they scale a LOT
- BUY GODSBEARD!

Oh, and we managed to beat the For the King gamemode using a woodcutter and hunter class, both equipped with armor piercing weapons (I'm convinced the game is impossible to beat w/o armor piercing weapons using two non-magic damage classes).
I'm 100% sure there are other ways to beat it, but this is how we did it, just for a little FYI.

Make sure to have fun with this game, it's definitely worth.

I gotta say, me and my cousin had a lot of fun with this game. We bought it on sale for $2.99 and beat it that day. About 6 hours of gameplay and another few hours of just 1v1ing each other. Overall, great, addicting game!

KEEP IN MIND : I'VE ONLY EVER PLAYED THIS GAME WITH A BUDDY.

First of all, try to wait for this game to go on sale before you get it. I think I payed about $20 for it, and it was definitely worth it.

Overall, I've had a lot of fun with this game. I would definitely recommend playing with a friend though, as this game is much more fun when you plan your attacks and work strategically with someone else, especially on the harder difficulties. Keep in mind, this game is not one of those "run-and-gun" games (maybe on easy difficulty, but definitely not on advanced). You NEED to be stealthy (or at least have to kill everyone before they call in reinforcements, or you're screwed).

Make sure you have a high-end desktop or laptop as you will not be able to run the game otherwise. I have a Ryzen 5, GTX 1060, and 16 gigs of DDR5 RAM, and I only get around 30 fps with max graphics settings.

Overall a great game. Better than DD2 in my opinion. Many hours of fun gameplay.
