Well this isn't a game for everybody.

Likewise a movie like the original Ben Hur is not for everybody. It's an epic and by that I mean the meaning of epic, not in glorious but grand. Its a grand undertaking to setup a new IP with an original cast of characters, factions and a believable world all connected by a biker experience.

If you like story, character arcs and give it time, like 30 hours, you will have fun and feel enganged. Towards the end I really wanted to take revenge on a fictional character... like, really.

And please forget the PCGamer review, the statement about an empty world... It's atmospheric, apocalyptic and beautiful. But then again, every review (especially of games) is subjective. So instead of reading for reasons not to try this, how about you give it a try and see if it works for you? Worst case, there's the refund option and seriously in other peoples eyes all we gamers do is waste our time. ;)

Visual presentation on an OLED TV is breath taking here. To fully enjoy the puzzles, please deactivate all hints and refrain from looking up solutions online, if you can. Makes the experience much more rewarding.

Its near perfect and it's Half Life and you can never have enough Half Life so get some Half Life.

Excellent take on the Batman Arkham series. The feeling is real, you play the Batman and advance continously in skill and battle. I really like rocksteadys approach and I cannot wait for them to eventually continue with the series.

I would like to recommend this game to everyone, however there are plenty of positive reviews out there highlighting the good and the bad. So I decided to just give you my honest takeaway.

This game has an interesting story, set of characters and the essence is a blend of Persona with Devil May Cry. This can be good or bad depending how much you value each. My particular gripe with this game is the music.

You may ask why exactly the music... Well as someone who's been composing music for a hobby I cannot say mine would sound better, but I can tell you this: 98% of the music is loops, presets from Native Instruments Komplete Edition, sparkled with ProjectSAM Symphobia 1 & 2. It is repetetive, bland and lacks distinctive character. The most original music delivered is a remix of a classic theme in the 2nd phase of the last boss battle.

So there you have it. A bit of an unconventional review. All in all the game has 50% good and 50% bad/boring parts for me so I rate it a 5 out of 10. I do not intend to play this ever again, however I would'nt exactly say that playing this is a waste of time. It's like one of those movies you watch once. Exactly once.

Das Spiel ist gut, sogar sehr gut. Die Story reicht meiner Meinung zwar nicht an Human Revolution ran aber das Gameplay, die Mechaniken und die Grafik haben einen guten Sprung nach vorn gemacht.

Ich habe hier einiges über Performance Probleme gelesen, zu dem Thema gibt es nichts zu sagen, diejenigen mit einem veralteten System und geringem Budget wissen ganz genau worans liegt. Wenn man ein aktuelles Rig hat gibt es keine Performace Einschränkungen. Das Wort "Ultra" besagt zwar das es schön aussehen wird, es bedeutet aber auch das es nicht eben auf jeder Grafikkarte läuft, es sei den die ist auch "Ultra" ;)

Insgesamt wurde ich über 25 Stunden gut unterhalten, Prag wiederzusehen war auch eine tolle Erfahrung. Gerade wenn ihr schon einmal dort wart werdet ihr eure Freude haben historische Plätze in einer Verschmelzung mit der Moderne von Deus Ex wiederzuerkennen!

Das Ende wurde von einigen kritisiert. Bitte bitte, es ist doch schonmal besser als das Ende von HR oder ME3. Und ja, für mich war es auch etwas zu schnell, aber wenn man einmal drüber nachdenkt, dieses Ende gibt den Auftakt. Es ist kein definitiv Ende wie in HR wo wir bangen mussten ob da überhaupt eine Fortsetzung mit Adam Jensen kommt. Hier ist es eher der Auftakt zu einer Großen Jagt die hoffentlich noch ein paar mehr Titel beinhalten wird.
