The community begged the developers to do Early Access. They didn't want to but caved in. Take any negative reviews with a grain of salt.

So far the game runs great, looks great, feels good to play, and its gameplay loop could keep you going alone.

Bought it for $2 as a meme and I couldn't be forced to play this for free after trying it once.

Promised 70+ weapons, only launched with 65 including all variants. No new weapons on release. This leaves Psyker and Ogryn extremely starved for unique weapons.
In-game cash shop with expensive skins priced at points where you need to purchase two currency packs and have some left over or purchase an expensive large pack.
In-game cash shop also on timers, FOMO inducing.
Performance hardly improved since the beta.
No new Hub content since the beta, which only added a barber.
No new story content since the beta. The story is hardly there at all.
No private lobbies or singleplayer missions.
Crafting not fully in.
Final 5th zone "Throneside" has only 1 variation, all other maps have 2-3.
No final boss map as you would expect.

Beta Feedback listened to:
Clearer weapon statistics.
Penances made slightly easier.

Almost all of my playtime is from the beta. At release, I'm not very pleased. The gameplay is A+ solid and the design and attention to detail is incredible, but the game is blatantly unfinished in terms of content especially compared to Vermintide 2 at launch. It will get there, but there's not much meat on these bones currently.

Does it have bugs? Yeah. Is it rough in some areas? Sure. But man, this is hands down the best game in it's genre. Skip the PvP entirely, play it solo or with friends like you would Valheim. The combat, world, and exploration is so rich. A sense of grandeur and wonder on a classically epic scale you rarely see in other games, let alone other survival games like it. I misjudged this for years before trying it on a whim, don't make the same mistake.

They Are Billions with a mix in of Warcraft 3 and Age of Empires. Decent enough in early access, lots of potential.
