Early Access Review
I bought this game short after the first technical preview for like $3. Not long after, it came to Steam as early access.

After 9 years, it's still flagged as early access, but costs $20. What an absolute joke.

Do yourself a favor and turn off "early access" recommendations from your Steam store.

UPDATE:

It appears The Indie Stone is incapable of taking negative feedback, as Chris Simpson decided to essentially tell me to "get lost" from this review.

Took me 11.5 hours to get 100% - but it was quite fun. Would recommend for a chill "turn off your brain" kind of game.

Okay so there seems to be a lot of discussion around this game and if it's worth the money. I myself bought this game without any idea what I was heading into, which might be what causes most to reconsider buying it after reading/watching negative reviews about the game. So here's my thoughts:

Is the game short?
Yes, the game can be beat in 2-3 hours if you don't have any intention to explore. On my first run through it I simply followed the "story". Which lead me to beat it listening to all dialogue in 3 hours.

Is it open world?
Yes and no. You can run around the area freely, but the way you're being presented with the world you will often find yourself following a path even though you think you're running around on your own. The game presents you a path through dialogue and atmosphere. It's so well made and barely noticeable, I really only noticed it because I was on the watch for it.

Does it have any replay value?
Sadly, no. I don't see any replay value to the game, you can get some other responses out of things by choosing other paths in the game. It may or may not lead to a different ending, you would have to buy the game and figure that out yourself.

For a semi-replay value spoiler you can take photos with the camera you get at a point in the game, you can get these photos printed and delivered to you as well as saved.

Should I buy it?
Yes, you should buy it for all these reasons. You can simply not miss out on a great story. There might not be much replay value right away, but I see myself play this game again in some months or a year when it's been dying in my memory. Think of the game as a movie, not an action packed game. You play it for the story and atmosphere, not for thrilling adreneline rushes.

A beautiful game with a thrilling story, the platforming is very well done and I could beat the game over and over again with the same pleasure. Every ability you obtain makes you able to cross the terrain so elegantly, there's nothing better than the bash move that almost makes you unkillable since you can bail out of any danger. But that's the beauty of going fast.

Would definitely recommend this game to anyone who's looking for either a good story or a great platformer.

An incredible story that puts your entire brain to a test. Don't get me wrong it's not a puzzle nor a frustrating and high phase game but.. It has something to it that just makes you think at a whole new level.

For a story telling game where there's no real goal other than your time and patience to listen to someone, this can really bring a tear to your eyes and give you a thrilling experience. I would definitely recommend this game no matter what genre you like and even if you don't like playing that many games at all, it's about the experience.

CS:GO Review
By far the best Counter Strike if you ask me, competetive mode just makes the rounds more intense and you get really focused in winning, plus the nice graphics from a silly game. Totally worth the money.

Short platforming game that has some cool puzzles to it.
The art is amazing, story very well told even without any dialouge. It's definitely worth the money for at least a couple of playthroughs!
