edit: if youre going to play this game (addicting), dont play weekend league, full of rats and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ metas like lobbed through balls and 5 back. also the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ping pong the ball does when i tackle someone or when my defender goes to intercept a ball and it bounces of the feet of him like its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rubber band ball. the most rage inducing fifa ive ever played

Cliché story, could've been written by a 13 year old. I couldn't care less about the characters since none of them are likeable nor interesting. The voice-acting is mediocre at best, feels like they got their voiceactors from Fiverr. The dialogue options lead to the same thing, its also hard to mess up an option if its a life or death situation. I would describe it as being like Until Dawn but for 7 year olds and the options reflect that. In some missions they have an unnecessary amount of deadtime of just walking. The game is really repetitive, making you play as "different" characters with similar paths to Road 96.

I do, however, like the artstyle, because it resembles Firewatch. But don't ever compare it to Firewatch. It is leagues above Road 96 in its story, voiceacting, design, music and gameplay. Dont buy this. Just buy Firewatch instead, much more of a enjoyable experience. Or any of the Telltale games if you want the option-based part. Their games are much better too.

Worst fifa I have played. The defending is atrocious, if the opposing player gets into the box, its basically a goal. Has been dead content in the first few weeks. No good sbcs or objectives, just rivals. The rebounds are back and worse than last years fifa. I can't tackle a player without losing the ball instantly because the ball bounces on the defenders leg and then returns to your opponent. And the goalkeepers. Oh my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god, the goalkeepers in this game is the worst I have seen in my life. When I tell the goalkeeper to move forward to approach the opposing player so he has less chance of scoring a goal, he runs left of the ball so the opponent has a open goal to score. Every shot on goal goes in, probably 1/5 of the shots on target gets saved. In my experience (playing with 89 rated Ter Stegen btw) my goalkeeper rarely gets a rating above 5.0 and if you don't know, that's a horrible rating. And that's not a rare occurence, that's every game. If you can't trust a 89 rated keeper to save a simple shot, then what's the point of the ratings? Might as well have a 55 rated bronze goalkeeper stand in goal if he is just going to let every shot go into the net.

Edit: Still a ♥♥♥♥ game, they have fixed a bit but still, by far, the worst fifa ever.

High expectations turned to dissappointment as the game has clunky controls and bad climbing, it is as if you are controlling a train. Especially if you try to use a power directly after another power because then it just straight up doesn't work. Maybe that's a feature I don't know about. The enemies were boring as they were all copies from each other with some more difficult than others. The combat was also very repetitive as you had to defeat all the enemies in your area before you could move on. It made you feel like you were doing tasks. The enemy placing and combat is also uninspired, same enemies just put in an area and then you have to fight them, over and over again. I have to, however, give credit where credit is due, your abilites can be very dope and really cool during combat if there is props you can use around you. However I don't remember that being in much of the game.

The story is the only thing keeping this game somewhat interesting as it reels you in with a good plot and amazing use of time travel. However I do think that the story is quite one-dimensional as the game didn't explore any other stories on how characters became who they are.

One thing that made me question the game's ability to build characters however was the reason that Jack Joyce could use a gun. He said that he could use them because he has been in bad situations before? What kind of logic is that? We learn nothing from that, was he a criminal, rebellion, robber? I don't know and it's irritating when storywriters put in something that doesn't lead to anything. This happens throughout the game with other characters as well such as William Joyce who is always described by Jack as "That's the William I know" without nothing to prove his point. They're basically just saying William is a conservative and weird guy and nothing more. Is it possible to maybe include some backstory instead of just mentions of it all the time?

Overall this is a decent game. I can't complain too much but some things pushed me over the edge when it came to the enjoyment of the game. The visuals are beautiful, the effects of your abilities and when time stops are immaculate. Even when time has stopped you can move floating maps or such which is really cool and adds to a already detailed world. I think this game is worth to play if you want something storydriven however I do believe the combat makes the game less enjoyable even though the ideas are fun and original. I recommend this game if you plan on buying it on sale for under 10 euro but for 36.99 you should honestly look to other options.

The gameplay was about 8 hours.
